This past week, Pine Crest Swimming alumni Marta Ciesla and Jessica Nava were both selected for the NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving Championship March 20-23 hosted by the University of Texas. The NCAA Championship is the fastest short course yards meet in the world, with many Olympic medalists and world record holders competing every year. The annual competition is extremely fierce, second only to the Olympics.

Representing University of Southern California in her sophomore year, Marta will compete in the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle, as well as represent the Trojans on multiple relays.

Jessica Nava, a University of Virginia freshman, qualified in the 100 and 200 butterfly. Both of which were best times at ACC’s, solidifying her spot at nationals. An extremely impressive feat for just her 1st year in college!
