Martin County Swimming,  a member of Florida Gold Coast Swimming and USA Swimming, is a competitive swim club located in Stuart, Florida.  Swimmers have enjoyed swimming and competing on the team since 1973.  Martin County Swimming continues to maintain its commitment to be a family oriented club that is reasonably accessible to swimmers of all ages and ability levels, and is comprised of Pre-Team, Age-Group, Junior, Senior, and Masters Swim Groups.  Coaches provide age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

The Florida Gold Coast league consists of nearly 60 teams located in Martin, Palm Beach, Broward and Dade counties.  Martin County Swimming primarily competes at swim meets hosted by various Florida Gold Coast clubs throughout the year.  In addition to the Summer Junior Olympics, Martin County Swimming traditionally hosts two meets per year,  one in September and the other in January.

Four (4) head coaches have led the team over the years, including founding coach Gary Shelt (1973 to 1980), coach Dick Wells (1980 to 1995), Jim McCombs (1995-2020), and current head coach Mark Corley.

Mission Statement: MART welcomes swimmers of all ages and capabilities, teaching the values of teamwork, self-discipline and sportsmanship, resulting in well-rounded individuals capable of achieving their potential in all aspects of their lives. All the while maintaining a safe and supportive environment for the protection of our children.

Vision: MART’s vision is to develop and maintain a program that will produce elite swimmers to represent MART in all levels of swim competition. MART would like to be the aquatic organization that trains these athletes for National, International, and Olympic level performance. With completion of the state of the art Sailfish Splash Aquatics Complex less than a mile from the team’s main pool, MART has the opportunity to host events and compete locally at a long-course championship level facility.
