2019 Spring Junior Olympic


Please find attached the psych sheet, timelines, and our team entry list.  Below is some important information about the meet. 

Location: Coral Spring Aquatic Complex - 12441 Royal Palm Blvd., Coral Springs, FL 33065
Directions: Turnpike South to Sawgrass Express. Sawgrass Expressway, exit on Sample Road East. Continue East on Sample to first light, Coral Ridge Drive. Turn Right onto Coral Ridge, continue South to Royal Palm Blvd. Turn right onto Royal Palm. The Aquatic Complex will be on the right-hand side (1/2 Mile).
Competition Pool:  10 Lanes will be used in both the East and West Pool. Boys will be swimming in the East pool.  Girls will be swimming in the West pool. 
Distance Events: Friday’s 500 Free, Saturday’s 400 IM and Sunday’s 1650 Freestyle are timed final events, swum together and scored separately for the following age groups 11-12 & 13-14.   The 500 Freestyle, 400IM and 1650 Freestyle’s top 10 swimmers in the following age groups (11-12, 13-14) will swim at night, all others with the preliminaries.  However, for the 1650 free, the fastest heat of the 11-14 age group will swim at finals.
1650 swimmers must supply their counters and timers. 1650 Swimmers swimming at finals will not need to supply their timer.
The 10 & under 500 free will swim in the preliminaries seeded fastest to slowest. 

Seeding: All 11-12 and 13-14 individual events will be seeded fastest to slowest. 
All 10 and under individual events will be seeded slowest to fastest, except the 500 free, which will be seeded fastest to slowest.
Relays: All relays for all age groups will be seeded slowest to fastest.  All 13-14 relays on Friday and Saturday will swim at night during the finals.  Sunday's relays will swim in the morning during the prelims. 

 All 10 & under relays will swim Saturday morning during the preliminary session.
Heat Sheets:  Heat sheet will not be sold at this meet.  They will post each day on the coral springs website at. www.csscswim.com.  

Scratches: Scratches must be done within 30 minutes of the announcement or posting of the preliminary results.  Failure to swim” in finals will result in the swimmer being fined $25.00 cash. Upon receiving payment of the fine, the swimmer will be eligible to continue competing in the meet. Swimmers may not compete in further individual events or relays until all fines are paid. In the case of missing a Sunday night final, payment of $25.00 must be made in order to compete in future FGC Championship meets.   

The Broward District Schools is having an Event on Friday as well, Sample Road will be closed from 8 to 10am. If you are arriving after 8am, you must drive from Royal Palm Blvd.
