Dragons had a solid meet with many best times, lots of team spirit, great sportsmanship, and a bit of dancing. 10 Dragons races at this meet, 8 with individual events and everyone raced relays plus time trials. Some of these swimmers tackled a few weeks of racing some big meets being a part of both club and high school teams and a few racing at both 11-14 Champs and Senior Champs. Thursday Hannah and Becca started our meet off with individual events in the 1000 free. Becca sliced 17 seconds...

Meet Review - By Coach Sydney 10 & Under champs went great for our dragons! We had two relays and two individual swimmers. Angus, Bennett, Trask and Ben did great on the 200 Medley and the 200 Freestyle relay. This was the first championship meet for most of the boys who went and they did great! Jesse swam two events at champs and got a best time in his 25 Freestyle. Trask swam hard in his individual events and his strokes looked great!

Coast Range Qualifier is our last chance meet to qualify for the upcoming championship meets. 60 Dragons raced last weekend into 219 best times/new times! Two standout moments that blew me away were with Mia B. and Victoria. Mia raced into her first “A” qualifying swim in the 100 breaststroke. She has chased after a qualifying time for a few seasons coming very close to the cut but missing it. Each season she keeps showing up to practice and meets with determination and a positive attitude. She had a fantastic...

Washington Open Review Nine of our Dragons earned the opportunity to race at the Washington Open last weekend. This meet is a qualifying meet which means swimmers must hit time standards to attend. Our Dragons rested with a small decrease in yardage heading into this meet. They suited up and were ready for some great swimming. We entered 55 individual and relay races for this meet and left with 37 best times! Aden, Ryan, and Victoria raced into all best times for their individual events. Alex raced into 4 out...

Last weekend 12 Dragons raced at a short and sweet meet was only 1 session and 3 events each. We had a smaller bunch attend a meet but the group was full of team support. Aden took some action shots of his teammates that were posted to the Facebook page. Ronette Bakke and Scott Brennan helped on deck as officials. Officials play a big role at meets. Host teams need to fill many jobs to make a meet successfully run and being an official is one of them. Swimmers earn...

Our home meet was filled with events for each swimmer to race and jobs filled by our awesome families; some who were at all 5 sessions of our meet! Desi, our meet director, organizes our home meets and spends the whole weekend at the deck making sure it runs smoothly. Her family also has carried the tradition for the 3rd year to cut the wood rounds for the heat winner awards which are a huge hit with the swimmers! Our officials spend full sessions at meets to observe that swimmers...

Animal Meet Review Huge THANK YOUs are in order for our helpful parents! When it comes to the away meets the host club depends on help from traveling clubs with officials and timers. We had 4 officials who worked the very long day: Desi Kurtz (board member/meet director), Ronette Bakke (board member/registrar), Ian Clemons, and Sherri Vann (whose swimmer, Kendra, is injured and not even racing at this meet). Our officials ROCK! Thanks to our Dragon parents who sat in the chairs behind lane 2 which was our assigned lane...

First off, THANK YOU to everyone who came to the CST Meet and special thanks to all the officals and anyone who helped time! Second, a HUGE thank you to all the swimmers and parents for being patient with us new coaches! This was the first meet we experienced on our own and it was a ton of fun, as well as a learning curve for all 3 of us! We cannot wait to continue to grow as coaches and better the entire team!! All the swimmers stepped up to...
