GOOD NEWS!! I just got off the phone with Ashley Edwards, Director of Tallahassee Parks and Recreation, and she informed me that she has been given the "green light" to begin working on setting up lanes for ATAC team practices. The exact hours and number of lanes has not yet been determined, but they will give me that information early next week. We will have a limited number of swimmers per lane, a limited number of coaches on deck, and VERY SPECIFIC protocol for pool entry and social distancing while...

I am meeting with the manager of Capital City Country Club on Tuesday to discuss leasing pool space during morning hours for additional space if needed to accommodate...

Until then, please do everything you can to utilize the pool time available to us to continue training. We will...

ATAC is doing everything we can to have summer practice for year round and new swimmers but there are a lot of 'unknowns' at this time. From Leslie Adams, city of Tallahassee Aquatics Director The City has extended pool closures until May 30, but this may be adjusted if the Governor makes a change in "stay at home" requirements in early May. The City is not able to hold lifeguard training currently, so it may create problems with being able to staff all pools when they are allowed to open....
