ATAC takes 3rd at 2018 Spring FL Senior Champs -- Boys take 1st! The 2018 Florida Swimming Spring Senior Championship Meet was held Feb. 22 - 25 in Orlando, FL. This is the short course season-ending championship meet for swimmers 14 and older from across Florida. This year ATAC sent 28 qualifying swimmers to the meet.  The boys scored in first place, the girls 6th, and the team overall placed third out of 53 scoring teams from around the State! ATAC shines at 2017 Futures ATAC placed 7th out of 80 teams in the season-ending 2017 USA Swimming Southeast Futures Championship swim meet, held in Nashville, TN on Aug 3-6.  This is a national long course competition for teams from the southeast quadrant of the United States, and ATAC sent 12 qualifying swimmers to the meet.  ATAC's performance this year was the best in its history, with two individual Futures champions and several medalists at this very competitive meet. ATAC a close Runner-Up at 2017 FL Swimming Summer Senior Championships!   The City-sponsored Area Tallahassee Aquatic Club placed second at the Florida Swimming Summer Senior Championships swim meet, out of 46 scoring teams from across the State.  ATAC was narrowly edged out of 1st place by the Blue Dolfins of central FL by a score of 1,413 to 1,411.5.  The meet was held July 20-23, 2017, in Ft. The Area Tallahassee Aquatic Club sent 23 swimmers to the Jingle Bell Invitational swim meet in Clearwater, FL on December 9-11, 2016.  This was a large meet with over 1000 swimmers from all across Florida and the east coast. ATAC did well against much larger contingents from teams closer to Clearwater -- the girls placed 4th out of 23 scoring teams, behind T2, CAT, and Gator, and the boys placed 12th. ATAC shines at the 2016 Futures Championships in Atlanta From August 4-7, 2016, two weeks after ATAC won the Florida Swimming Summer Senior Championships in Ft. Pierce, 16 ATAC swimmers were back in the water one last time this long course season for the 2016 USA Swimming Futures Championships.  Qualifying swimmers from 10 states in the central and southeastern US competed in this long course meet at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center in Atlanta. ATAC Wins 2016 FL Swimming Summer Senior Championships!   The City-sponsored Area Tallahassee Aquatic Club has won the 2016 Florida Swimming Summer Senior Championships swim meet for the second year in a row. The meet was held July 21-24, 2016, in Ft. Pierce, FL.  ATAC placed FIRST overall as a team out of over 50 participating teams from around the State, with 1903 points.  ATAC was well ahead of the second place Blue Dolfins, of Winter Park, which had 1315 points.  The FL Senior Championships is the long course meters...

ATAC is runner-up at the 2016 Spring FL Senior Championships   The 2016 Florida Swimming Short Course Senior Championship meet was held Feb 25-28 in Orlando, FL. This is the short course season ending meet for qualifying swimmers 15 and over from across the State.   The Area Tallahassee Aquatic Club placed SECOND among 55 scoring teams, narrowly edged out of first place by 4 points (1,063 to 1,059) by Sarasota YMCA Sharks, a team with twice as many swimmers at the meet! This is the long course season-ending championship meet for swimmers 15 and older from across the state of Florida.   This year ATAC sent 38 qualifying swimmers and placed FIRST overall as a team out of 50 scoring teams from around the State, and over 500 swimmers participating. Five swimmers from ATAC representing Florida Swimming participated in the annual Florida Swimming vs Florida Gold Coast Swimming All-Star Dual Meet, which took place March 28-29, 2015 in Ft. Pierce, FL. To qualify, swimmers must place in the top 6 in an individual event at the Florida Age Group Championships, which took place two weeks earlier in Sarasota.
