ATAC Masters team!-More Information HERE

The ATAC Masters team is designed to offer adult swimmers a fun and friendly community to improve their swim fitness and technical skills. Regardless of your ability level or athletic goals, our Masters program will provide you with structured workouts and social support to make your swim training more enjoyable! 

 

Participants:

  • Open to adult (18+) swimmers of all ages and ability levels, ranging from casual lap swimmers to triathletes to competitive Masters athletes
  • Swimmers need only to be able to swim freestyle; knowledge of butterfly, backstroke, and breaststroke is not required

 

Practices:

  • Practices will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 6:30 to 7:30am at the Trousdell Aquatic Center.
  • Practices will be designed to fit multiple ability levels and may consist of a combination of group workouts and self-paced sets.
  • Coach Averi will be able to offer technical instruction as needed/requested to swimmers who hope to improve their strokes during practices.

 

Registration and Billing:

  • Interested individuals are welcome to try out practices for up to 1 week before registering.
  • Coaching fees/cost to participate is $75 per month, 1st month paid via cash or check made payable to “Performance Enhancement Enterprises”. Requires 3 month commitment and coaching fees paid monthly by bank draft.
  • Participants must register annually with US Masters Swimming. The fee is $60 per year. Register here

Coach:

The ATAC Masters team will be coached by Averi Lewis. Averi is a student at Florida State University pursuing her Masters in Sport Psychology. She has extensive experience coaching swimmers of all ages and adult triathletes and is an avid athlete herself. Averi swam competitively in her youth before taking up triathlons while in college at the University of Alabama, where she earned degrees in Exercise Science and Psychology and a minor in Nutrition. Averi is skilled at adapting workouts to the individual needs of each athlete and can help refine swim technique for novice and advanced swimmers alike. She also assists in coaching the Age Group and Novice groups at ATAC.
