Our group lessons offer 30 minutes of instruction with 3-5 swimmers of similar skill levels, ages 4 and up. In our 10 level program, we welcome all comfort levels, from those learning to blow bubbles for the first time through those hoping to make our SLAC Lightning Swim Team. We have multiple instructors in the water at each lesson time meaning we can work with all skill levels at all available lesson times.

When registering, you will be able to select a recurring day and time each week that your swimmer will attend their thirty minute lesson. Lessons are offered Monday through Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings from March through October. Additional week day morning lessons are added during summer break. Swimmers can be transfered from school year afternoon lessons to summer mornings by contacting [email protected] Evening lessons run on 40 minute intervals with the first classes starting at 4:00pm and our latest classes starting at 6:40pm. Our saturday mornings begin with a lesson at 10:15am and our last lesson starts at 12:15pm. Summer mornings run at 10:15am, 10:55am and 11:35am.

On your first night please arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled class start time so we can do a quick skills assessment. This will allow us to start your swimmer with the correct instructor and at the correct level.

Swimmers need a suit, towel and suitable footwear for the pool deck. Goggles are also encouraged. We have some goggles available to borrow. Swimmers will not need floaties or other such devices.

Parents are asked to make use of the bleachers and the shade umbrellas along the back edge of the pool deck during lessons. Do not hover over the edge of the pool as this can make your swimmers nervous and will affect the quality of their lessons.

We recommend registering for two weekly lessons so that skills are better retained and so that swimmers will see quicker progress. To do this simply select two lesson day/time options during registration.

Our lessons are billed monthly, on the first of the month, with an automatic renewal. Each 30 minute lesson costs $15 making for the typical billing of $60/month. Should your swimmer join us mid-month, we will prorate the monthly fee to match the number of lessons remaining in the month. Please note that if your selected day of the week occurs 5 times in a month the billed fee will be $75 rather than the base fee of $60. To withdraw just contact us via email to [email protected] before the 25th of the month.

At the time of your initial annual registration each calendar year there will be a $25 registration fee per swimmer.

Makeups are allowed for absences with 24 plus hours notice through use of our online parent portal

More Details Available Under the Lessons Tab of our Website Under LESSONS POLICIES.

Adults are welcome as well as children in our group lessons! We recommend adults select the later evening classes to help avoid being in groups with our youngest participants.
