Coaches and Directors

Coach Bryan comes to us from Lakeside Aquatic Club where he was Site Supervisor and National Prep coach for the last 3+ years. During that time, He produced numerous National top10 athletes including several TAGS Champions (Texas Age Group) and National Age Group Champions. The Lakeside Aquatic Club is considered to be one of the premier clubs in Texas and the USA, and was a USA Swimming Gold Medal Club in 2017 and 2018. He was nominated for the Fitter and Faster Age Group coach of the year national award 2 of the past 3 years.
Prior to that he was at Clearwater Aquatics where he was Senior Assistant Coach/ Head Age Group Coach of their very successful Age Group Program. Bryan began his coaching career in 1990 and has coached High School and Age Group programs including 5 years at Nashville Aquatic Club as the Head Age Group Coach and 4 years at High Tide Aquatics as the Head Coach.
Bryan, a Florida native, started swimming as a very young age group swimmer. He loved swimming and continued to swim competitively for 14 years, including swimming at West Virginia Wesleyan College. Coach Bryan has had many successes including: Coached a 2016 Olympic Trials Qualifier, 3 Age Group National Record Holders (2005, 2009), 100 + USA swimming top 10 performers including 18 age group USA Swimming National Champions, Twice ASCA Age Group Coach of the Year - Louisiana (2007), Southeastern Swimming (2009); Louisiana LHSAA Division 1 Women's State Runner-up (2005); Florida FHSAA Class 3A Women's State Championship (2002); Florida FHSAA Class 3A Women's State Runner-up (2000); Selected Head Coach - Southeastern Swimming Southern Zone All-Star team (2009, 2010); Selected Assistant coach - Southeastern Swimming Southern Zone All-Star team (2008); Selected Assistant coach - Louisiana Swimming Southern Zone All-Star Team (2006); Selected Assistant coach -Florida Swimming Southern Zone All-Star Team (2000, 2002 & 2004); Selected Head Coach -Florida Swimming Southern Zone All-Star Team (2003); Florida Dairy Farmers -Girls High School Coach of the Year - All Classes (2003); Gainesville Sun All Area Coach of the year (2000, 2002 & 2003). He also produced HTA's only Olympic Trials Qualifier in the Summer of 2015. Bryan is also a Lifetime Member of the American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA), and is an ASCA Level 5 coach.

Coach Jacob has been coaching with Loggerhead since it's inception in 2008. He has coached all levels of swimmers at Loggerhead. He coaches with enthusiasm and is able to communicate technique and racing strategies to all swimmers regardless of ability level. He swam competitively for over 10 years. He has experience working as a lifeguard, swim lesson instructor , an aquatics supervisor, and above all...a professional swim coach. Coach Jacob brings extensive knowledge of the sport and brings that knowledge and enthusiasm to the pool deck daily. Coach Jacob has lead the Loggerhead age group program to top ten finishes (inluding a 2nd place finish) at the Florida Age Group Championships (FLAGs).
Jill grew up swimming competitively in St. Louis, MO. Her swimming career spans over three decades of swimming and coaching combined. Jill competed in the US Olympic Trials in 1988, and earned a four-year athletic scholarship to the University of Georgia. She swam for UGA four years and competed in the NCAAs.
Coach Jill has been involved in swim coaching at all levels from swim lessons to summer league; high school to USA swimming. She has a passion for the sport and an appreciation for the dedication involved to reach goals. Most importantly, she loves helping kids learn to swim and enjoy the sport as well.
In addition to swim coaching, Jill is a personal trainer with a degree in Health Promotion and Behavior. She lives in St. Augustine with her husband and three sons, two of which swim for Loggerhead Aquatics.

Matej is originally from Croatia, his swimming career brought him to the United States where he had a phenomenal college career at Fairmont State Univ. He has coached the past three years for the Durbin Dolphins summer league team, and he was also an age group coach for FAST (Fairmont Area Swim Team) for two years. His accomplishments in the pool included the following:
- NCAA Division II National Championship Runner-Up in 200 Butterfly
- 12 time All American
- 5 Time National Swimmer of the Week
- NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship Recipient

Mark Corley is the Director of Operations and also handles the Team Admin duties. Mark started the Loggerhead program at JCP in 2008. He continues to be an integral part of the Loggerhead team.
