Beginner Warriors

1: 8&Under

2: 9&Over

  • 25 free w/o stopping and rhythmic breathing
  • 25 back w/o stopping
  • Demonstrates ability to breaststroke & butterfly
  • This group is always up to coaches dis
  • Learning the basic structures of swimming techniques
  • Development of flexibility, coordination, balance and agility
  • Self-discipline, self-confidence, concentration
  • Mini Meets Encouraged
  • The Basic Fundamentals and technique of each stroke

 

 

 

Junior Warriors

  • 5 minute freestyle, w/flip turns, w/o breaking form
  • 10x25 on 1:00, not freestyle with good technique
  • Legal breaststroke kick
  • Ability to complete a legal 25 butterfly
  • Knowledge of a flipturn
  • Knowledge of a starting block dive and Backstroke dive.
  • Improving the basic structures of all 4 swimming techniques with starts and turns
  • Maximum development of motor skills, strengthening of major joints and muscle groups
  • Development of competitive spirit, team spirit
  • Mini Meets, successful appearances at city, county, and regional competitions
  • mproving the basic structures of swimming techniques
  • Improving flexibility, coordination, balance and agility
  • Habits of healthy living, familiar with the rules of sports, ethics and fair play
  • Must attend Mini Meets, successful appearances at city competitions.

 

 

 

Middle School Conditioning

  • Middle School Age
  • 25 all strokes
  • Knowledge of freestyle flip turns
  • Desire less practice time & meet commitment than Green or Silver Warriors Groups
  • Perfecting and automating the basic skills learned in the Green Warriors
  • Greater development of general strength
  • Improving concentration and attention
  • More focused on appreciation for swimming than competition
  • Mini Meets, sanctioned meets encouraged

High School Conditioning

  • High School Age
  • 25 all strokes
  • Knowledge of freestyle flip turns
  • Desire less practice time & meet commitment than Green or Silver Warriors Groups
  • Perfecting and automating the basic skills learned in the Green Warriors
  • Greater development of general strength
  • Improving concentration and attention
  • More focused on appreciation for swimming than competition
  • Mini Meets, sanctioned meets encouraged

 

 

 

Performance

9&Over

  • 4x200 IM on 5:00, holding at least 4:40 per 200
  • 10x100 freestyle on 2:00

And at least one of the following sets:

  • 6x100 backstroke on 2:20, holding at least 2:10 per 100
  • 6x100 butterfly on 2:20, holding at least 2:10 per 100
  • 6x100 breaststroke on 2:40, holding at least 1:55 per 1:00
  • 10x50 Free Under 1 Minute (1:30) Aware of pull-outs, starts off the blocks, shows well executed drills for each stroke.
  • Improving specific swimming techniques
  • Greater development of greater strength
  • Introduction to the basics of tactical preparation
  • Improving concentration and attention
  • Successful appearances at club, city, county and regional competitions
  • Creating relays and emerging norms for participation in national championships

High Performance

11&Over

  • 5x200 IM on 3:20, holding at least 3:10 per 200
  • 10x100 freestyle on 1:30
  • 5x100 kick on 2:10

And at least one of the following sets:

  • 16x100 backstroke on 1:50, holding at least 1:45 per 100
  • 16x100 butterfly on 1:50, holding at least 1:45 per 100
  • 16x100 breaststroke on 2:00, holding at least 1:55 per 100
  • Distance swimmers see your coach for an additional set
  • Progressive increase in volume and intensity
  • Introduction to mental training, developing self-regulation and visualization
  • Encouraging self-initiative and a competitive spirit
  • The beginning of individualization of training
  • Successful performances at city, county, and regional competitions
  • Creating relays and emerging norms for participation in the national championships and entering the finals
  • Perfect technique in all 4 strokes

  • 16x100 backstroke on 1:40, holding at least 1:35 per 100
  • 10x50s butterfly on 1:30, holding at least 29 per 50
  • 10x50 breaststroke on 1:30, holding at least 39 per 50
  • Distance swimmers see your coach for an additional set
  • Preparing athletes to perform the skill with appropriate rhythm and speed.
  • Development of maximum strength
