Spring Group Swim Lessons 2022:

GROUP LESSONS COST: $100

EACH SESSION CONSISTS OF SIX 30-MINUTE CLASSES. 

ALL CLASSES HAVE AN ANNUAL REGISTRATION FEE OF $25, THIS INCLUDES A T-SHIRT.

REGISTRATION CLOSES THE WEDNESDAY BEFORE THE SESSION BEGINS.

Introduction to water safety and skills. Minimum age is 4 years old. Cost: $100

The objective of the Level 1 class is to teach water safety through: front and back floating without support; rolling from front to back float; turning back to the wall; mouth and nose bubbles. Introduction of freestyle and back stroke. Class size of 4-6 students.

Stroke development and improvement. Students in this class MUST be comfortable submerging, being on their back, and have basic skills in arm movement and kicking. Cost: $100

The objective of the Level 2 class is to build upon skills learned in Level 1; introduction of body and head position, “line” in freestyle and backstroke; rhythmic breathing in freestyle; introduction of dives. Class size of 4-6 students.

Stroke refinement and swimming proficiency. This class is for advanced swimmers who are ready to learn the 4 competitive strokes of swimming. Cost: $100

The objective of the Level 3 class is to build upon skills learned in Level 2: mastery of “line”; dives. Introduction of butterfly, breaststroke, starts and turns, along with basic terminology. This class provides a gateway for joining the Beginner Warriors group of the Florida Elite swim team. Class size of 4-6 students.

Group Lessons Policies

IF TWO CLASSES PER SESSION ARE CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER, ONE MAKE UP WILL BE PROVIDED. THE BEST WAY TO AVOID CANCELLATION DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER IS TO REGISTER FOR MORNING SESSIONS. 

Requests to move, change or cancel sessions will be considered on a case by case basis. Generally, once the session has started, no modifications will be granted and no refunds will be given. For requests made between the Wednesday that registration closes, and the Tuesday that lessons begin, we will attempt to accomodate moves/changes, refunds will not be given. For requests made prior to the registration closing, we will attempt to accomodate moves/changes, and if an accomodation can not be made, 50% refunds will be considered on a case by case basis.

COVID-19 Policies

  • Entering the Facility: Everyone will come through the front glass doors and check in at the counter
  • Masks: Optional for everyone, recomended indoors 
  • 1 adult per child in lessons will be allowed on deck. They will stay in the designated viewing area near the Rec Center, chairs are limited, please bring your own, and maintain respectful distance from other families. Dive and Synchro camps can be viewed from the picnic tables near the dive well. Team practices can be viewed from the picnic tables nearist the Rec Center.

Florida Elite’s COVID-19 Procedures are guided by USA Swimming, Florida Swimming, USA Artistic Swimming, Local Government and the CDC.
