Guerby Ruuska Head Swim Coach
Guerby Ruuska's coaching journey started for his local summer league team Rensselaer Summer Swim Team. In the summer of 2019 Guerby moved up to the position of the head coach where he lead the team to a 6th straight PSSL conference title, breaking 9 team records along the way. Guerby took on the position of head coach of Tri-West Swim Club out of Lizton, Indiana, wherein one year he helped grow the club tremendously. At TW he coached several athletes to divisional qualifiers and an individual sectional champion. Since arriving in Florida, Guerby has helped produce several FLAG and Senior Champ qualifiers. He coached an athlete onto the 2021 Florida Zones Swim Team while coaching for GTSA, and was also head coach of the 2021 Florida Zones team. He helped them achieve a 2nd place team finish and a win on the women’s side. Guerby is currently a coach for the University of Tampa Swim Team where he helped the team achieve top ten in the nation on the women’s side and top 15 for the guys 20-21 season. Guerby graduated from Manchester University with a BS in English and a minor in Journalism. He competed for the Spartans all 4 years and was a record-setter in all 5 relays and the 100 and 200 backstrokes. Guerby is also a member of the Haitian National Swimming Federation where he competed for them internationally in the FINA Worlds Swim Meet in Gwangju, South Korea.
Camille Albrecht Head Synchro Coach

Camille Albrecht swam synchronized swimming for 14 years. She competed as a member of the Tampa Bay Synchrays and placed top 10 in many National meets including placing 4th at US Open in 2007 and 2nd at Age Group Nationals in 2008.  In 2009 Camille was a part of the inaugural cruise on The Oasis of the Sea where she preformed as a dancer and Synchronized swimmer in the first ever Aqua show at sea: The Oasis of Dreams. After completing her contract on the ship, she retuned to Tampa YMCA Synchro where she had volunteered as a coach in her senior year of high school. She coached as an assistant coach for 4 years. In October of 2013 Camille took over as the head coach. While with TYS she coached multiple swimmers to qualify and swim at US Nationals and Junior Olympics where swimmers have to placed and swam in finals. Also during her time with Tampa YMCA Synchro she placed 2 swimmers to the 12-U National Team and 1 to the JR National team. Camille was named the 12-U USA Artistic Swimming National team assistant coach for 2020-2021.  In the Spring of 2020 Camille became the head coach of the newly founded FL Elite Synchro Warriors where she looks forward to coaching more and more athletes to their highest potential! Other than coaching Camille runs a swim lesson business, swims masters synchro with Team Florida, dances, cycles, runs, and practices yoga as often as possible! 

Anjel Clemente Head Dive Coach

Anjel comes from Rensselaer, Indiana where he began swimming and diving as an 8th grade r.  After spending a year in Chicago on a soccer scholarship, Anjel transferred to Manchester University where played was a 3 sport student-athlete .  During his time at Manchester, Anjel set 3 diving records (1m 6 dives, 1m 11 dives, and 3m 6 dives) .  He was a 2x NCAA DIII Regional Finalist and earned an  H onorable Mention All-American Scholar  d uring his time there .

Darcee Jean Redding Aquatics Director & Synchro Coach

Darcee Redding has been involved in the swimming community for over 25 years. She grew up in Tarpon Springs, and began synchronized swimming with the Pasco County Pirouettes at 5 years old and then Suncoast Water Works where she qualified for many Age Group Nationals, Junior Nationals and US Opens. Darcee went on to swim synchro at the University of Florida where she was the Club President for 3 years and they won 2 Club National Titles, and she majored in Health Education and Behavior. She served as the Florida Association, South Zone and Collegiate Regional Athlete Representative to the USAS Convention throughout her years as an athlete. She continues to swim Masters Synchro with Team Florida. 

Darcee coaches the new Florida Elite Synchro Team, and has been coaching synchro since 2012. She has also taught swim lessons to children and adults on an off for many years. She has coached numerous athletes to qualify for Junior Olympics, 13-15, Jr and Sr Nationals, as well as 2 athletes to the USA 12&Under National Team and 1 athlete to the USA Junior National Team. She is a USA Swimming Level 2 Coach, a USA Artistic Swimming Level 3 Coach, and a USA Artistic Swimming Level 4F Judge. Darcee also serves as the Officials Chair for the NW FL Artistic Swimming Association. She is certified by the Red Cross to teach CPR/AED/First Aid, Lifeguarding, Babysitting and Wilderness First Aid. Darcee is also a certified Aquatics Facility Operator (AFO). 

Darcee lives in Seminole Heights, with her husband, their husky George Michael, and 5 rescue cats. When she's not at the pool she enjoys traveling to national parks, gardening, and yoga.

Robin Hilgenberg Asst. Swim Coach

Robin Hilgenberg came from southeast Ohio and graduated from BGSU with a BS in Physical Education.   She moved to Tampa to earn a Masters in Adapted Physical Education from USF. She has taught Adapted Physical Education in Hillsborough County since 1980. Robin has coached all levels for LOLL/FE since 2000 and has also coached the LOLHS Swim Team since 2002. Her Synchronized Swimming experience paired with her Track and Field concentration along with teaching swim lessons since she was 16 lead her to where she is now as a coach for FE.  She is married to Scott (26 years) and has coached her three sons who earned medals at states.   They have also coached LOLL/FE.   Craig swam for FSC and now teaches school and coaches a swim team in Lakeland.   Curt played baseball and earned a degree in Marketing from Northwood Univ and now lives and works for Enterprise in Jacksonville with Kami and their daughter Kali.  Cam attends Florida Gulf Coast University and is a swim coach for GCST.  He coaches LOLL/FE in the summer months and teaches swim lessons.

Kara Wilkins grew up loving the sport of swimming, she swam here for Florida Elite, which ultimately lead to her swimming collegiately at a Division I University. She graduated Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelors in Psychology in April 2021 Cum Laude. She was a swim instructor in Boca Raton with KISO Swim School for 3 years while earning her degree. She recently moved back to the area to pursue a Masters in Social Work, and will be coaching some of our Green Warriors groups. If you take a look at the team records, you’ll see Coach Kara was once a successful Warrior athlete herself!

Victoria Vaile Junior Coach

Victoria has been apart of the Florida Elite team since 2017. She started swimming with the LOLL (Land O Lakes Lighting) team when she was 4 years old. Her father, Brian Vaile, had coached the Land O Lakes High School swim team for about 7 years. She not only swims with the competition group year around but also coach’s, swim instructs and lifeguards. She is currently coaching the Performance group and does private swim lessons in her free time. She swims for Wesley Chapel High School and will be graduating in 2022. Her certifications include: Lifeguard, USA Swimming Coach, AED, CRP, and First Aid.

Cameron Hilgenberg Sub Swim Coach

Coach Cam will be assisting on-deck, coaching with multiple levels, as needed. Coach Cam has been with Florida Elite for many years both as a swimmer and as a coach. He is also a full-time firefighter.

Jacquelyn Buckholz Assistant Synchro Coach

 Jackie Buckholz is a Tampa native and second generation synchronized swimmer, who swam for both Tampa Synchrays and Suncoast Waterworks. During her synchro career which began at the age of six, she placed in the top sixth places at all age group nationals she competed in, specializing in the trio competition. Her top performance was placing second in trio at Junior nationals her last year competing. Jackie’s fondest memories include swimming at the Junior Olympic held in Hawaii and having the opportunities to be coached by Collegiate coaches; former Olympians throughout her career. She is grateful for an amazing experience and is excited to pass on her love for the sport. 

Maria Espinoza Assistant Synchro Coach

Maria Espinoza was born in Venezuela and moved to Tampa when she was 12. Maria did synchro for 9 years as she started in Venezuela, then in Tampa Bay Synchrays for 5 years, and finally with Tampa YMCA synchro for 2 years. Throughout the years, Maria qualified for many Junior Olympics and U.S. Nationals. Maria started coaching the novice level with the Florida Elite Synchro Team in 2020. She has also assisted in coaching some of the intro,intermediate, and age group levels during the 2020-2021 season. Maria is a level 1 USA Artistic Swimming coach and has been the head coach for the intermediate level since the 2021-2022 season. She has also coached summer camps for the novice and intermediate level.
Outside of coaching Maria attends USF studying psychology as a pre-med student and also works at Bath & Body Works.

Zoe Keegan Assistant Synchro Coach

Zoe Keegan swam synchronized swimmer for 8 years with Tampa YMCA Synchro and has been a coach since 2017. Zoe is extremely passionate about coaching and takes immense pride in her swimmers and her job as a coach. When Zoe isn’t on the pool deck she is attending classes at Pasco Hernando State College. She loves nothing more then to spend time with those she loves and curling up with a good book!

Kyra Okin Assistant Synchro Coach
Kyra Okin swam synchronized swimmer for eight years with Tampa YMCA Synchro. She loves being on the pool deck and sharing the joy of the sport. She is a pre-vet student at the University of Tampa and an emergency vet tech. In her free time, Kyra enjoys baking, and spending time with loved ones. 
Juliana Silva Assistant Synchro Coach

Juliana Silva is from Venezuela and started doing Synchronized Swimming without knowing how to speak English! She has been swimming since she was 4, and moved to Tampa at age 9 in 2011 when she joined the Tampa YMCA Synchro Team with Coach Camille. Juliana made successful appearances at the Junior Olympics and US Nationals, and then in 2019 she joined the USA Junior National Team. She comes from a successful sports family, her dad was in the top-5 best players in Venezuela for tennis.  She also plays the violin.

Maja Meszaros Szabo Assistant Synchro Coach

Maja Meszaros Szabo started swimming back in her home country in Hungary. After she moved to the US she jouned Tampa YMCA Synchro. Next to coaching is she is also a full time student at HCC majoring to be an architect/interior designer. In her free time Maja loves drawing and painting.

Jennah Hafsi Junior Coach

Jennah has been a part of the synchro/swimming world for almost ten years! She started synchronized swimming with Tampa YMCA Synchro when she was 6 years old, and moved to the Warriors with her coaches and teammates in 2020. She was on the national team for two years, and is still very competitive. She started competitive swimming in the summer of 2020, for the Warriors. She loves swimming for both sports, synchro and swim, as it allows her to be competitive, healthy, and happy.

In addition to  being in the pool herself, she loves coaching the new swimmers and synchronized swimmers in the program. She is also a lifeguard.

Besides being at the pool, some of her favorite things to do are listen to music, babysit, and cook! She is currently in highschool, and will graduate in 2024, with hopes to continue swimming synchro, or swim at a university!
