Coaching Staff
Lorin Collins Head Coach

Coach Lorin grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. Since age 15, Lorin has been sharing her love with swimming by teaching lessons and coaching in various programs. In high school, she helped the younger kids>always looking for new learning opportunities and chances to improve herself as a coach. Lorin’s degree in Kinesiology has allowed her the chance to learn the effects of exercise on the human body throughout all stages of development and has had the chance to learn exclusively the effects on developing children. This has given her the opportunity to develop a unique perspective on coaching.  “My coaching style seems to be unique compared to other coaches that I have had the opportunity to observe. I am a very hands on coach who likes to take the strokes and simplify them for my athletes. I like to teach my swimmers the reasons for the tasks and expectations I have of them, explain to them why I want their hands to enter the water a specific way or why there needs to be that pause for glide in breast stroke. I want my athletes to understand the fundamentals of what will make them better swimmers and not just swim for the sake of doing what I ask.”
