Gracie recently took 1st in the 200 Breast during Wave I of the Olympic Trials advancing herself to another swim and a front row seat to watch older sister (Emma), training partner and now Olympian win her best event (400IM) during Wave II of the trials. Weyant joins 21 of the best US JR swimmers in the country and will compete at the 2021 FINA World Cup’s in Berlin, Germany and Budapest, Hungary in October Gracie Weyant will be joined by her coach, Sharks Head Coach and CEO, Brent Arckey....

Sarah, Shark Class of 2022, will follow Shark Alumni Savannah Barr and Isabel Traba to Miami and become a Miami University Hurricane. Sharks' Olympic Trial Qualfer Natalie Mannion is joining Shark Teammate Liam Custer at Stanford. Natalie is a US Jr National Team Member and had a top 20 finish in the 200 backstroke last month in Omaha at the 2021 Olympic Trials. “I am thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at Stanford University! The American Swimming Coaches Association name Shark Coach Andrew Eckhart; TOP 50 AGE GROUP COACHES (IN THE COUNTRY) OF THE YEAR. These coaches are selected based on USA Swimming’s National Rankings data for 12 and under swimmers. Coaches received bonus points for number of #1 rankings, for number of different swimmers ranked, and for number of total rankings. Finnegan Lear commits to the University of California Santa Cruz. Lear has come up through the Sharks’ ranks since 2012. Known for his mile he also swims middle distance and backstroke. He was a finalist in the 2020 FHSAA 4A State Championships in the 500 Freestyle his senior year with the Riverview Ram’s High School team and more recently the 200 backstroke at the Southern Zone South Sectional Championships. With twelve SR Championships since 2014 the Sarasota Sharks capture number thirteen winning all three titles; Men's, Women's and Combined Championships. The Sharks Combined Team won by over 1000 points by outscoring T2 Aquatics 2570 to 1420. Sharks' Michaela Mattes and Liza Brown both won high-point for their respective age group.
