"USA Swimming released its official roster for Junior Pan Pacs on Thursday. Open to swimmers born in Swimmers born in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005, the 2018 Junior Pan Pacific Championships will take place in Suva, Fiji from August 23th through 27th. Athletes were selected based on their results at the 2018 Phillips 66 National Championships in Irvine last week." "16-year-old Emma Weyant of Sarasota YMCA Sharks took another 4.45 seconds off a 3-week-old personal best and dominated her heat in the 400 IM on Friday morning. Weyant swam a 4:42.19 to finish 8th overall in prelims, putting her 11.11 seconds ahead of her best swim from last summer. "Sumner Chmielewski, 14, Sarasota YMCA Sharks (SYS-FL): 400m IM (5:03.26) – Chmielewski won the women’s 400 IM at the Tampa Bay Swim Classic, dropping 5.5 seconds and going 10 seconds faster than she’d been at this time last year. She also won the 200 back and 200 fly, was runner-up in the 200 IM, and placed third in the 200 free, 200 breast, and 400 free. In addition to her PB in the 400 IM, Chmielewski finished the weekend with new lifetime bests in the 200 back and 200 IM."...

SARASOTA - Our Sarasota Sharks are three-peat national champions. Earlier this month, the swim team won the 2017 YMCA Short Course title. They swam their way to the top, defeating more than 70 teams.
