The Blue Dolfins offer multiple training groups. It is our goal to offer age specific training for all swimmers to help them reach their potenial.

SPRING WORKOUT SCHEDULE - STARTS March 1  

pre flippers TR 5-6 PM (starts March 21)

Flippers - MTWR 5-6 PM

Bronze - M-R 6:00- 7:30 PM, Friday 5-6:30 PM

Silver - M-F 4:30 - 6:30,  S,8:30 - 10:30

Senior MTRF 3-5 PM, W 2:30 PM, S 7-9 AM, TR 5:50 - 6:40 AM

Barracudas - TR 6:30 - 7:30 PM

 

 

 

Pre Flippers 5-8 yrs

Able to demonstrate freestyle and float on their back for backstroke. Goal - get them ready for flippers by teaching body position proper kick and the basics of all four strokes. Practice is 30 minutes on Tuesday and Thursday from 4:45 to 5:15 PM.

Coaches are Sue Butcher, Lizzy White, Lisa Stone, and Kaylin Herbet.

Flippers 6-9 yrs

Able to swim at 25 free and back.  Swimmers should be able to take instruction in a group environment. Goal – continue development of all four strokes. Learn proper starts turns and finishes. Basic paste clock skills are introduced. Practice is one hour Monday through Thursday 2 to 3 days or recommended. Flippers Group Coaches:  Sue Butcher, Lisa Stone, Lizzy White, 
Workout Days/Times: M-R 5:00 PM  $90 /month -*

Bronze Group 8-12 yrs

Able to swim all four strokes legally, for at least a 50, with correct starts turns and finishes. Participate in meets, completed 100 IM with legal turns. Coach recommends they are ready for this level. The goal - continue development on proper strokes, starts, turns, and finishes on all strokes, clock skills and interval training are developed. Basic dryland training, including running, work on flexibility and body awareness . Usa Swimming IMR and IMX levels are encouraged. Practice five days, one hour and 30 minutes, strongly recommend 3 to 4 days minimum.BronzeGroup Coaches:  Sue Butcher, Lisa Stone, Lizzy White
Workout Days/Times: M-R 6-7:30 PM (30 minutes of dryland) F-5-6:30 PM $115 / month 

Silver Group

Athletes in this group are usually at least 11 years old, in the 6th grade, and have completed the Bronze Group move-up skills list. This group is exposed to training for the first time while trying to prepare for the 200/500 Freestyle and 200/400 Individual Medley races. Competing at swim meets is highly encouraged at a rate of about once per month. $130 per month

Workout Days/Times:M-F 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM, Saturday at 7 AM

 

Gold Group

Minimum age for entry into this group is 13 years old. Athletes entering this group must display a desire to begin training on a more committed basis. Competition at swim meets is expected in this group. Training takes precedence for the first time in the athletes development.

Senior Group

Minimum age for entry into this group is freshman in HS. Athletes entering the Senior group must display a strong desire to perform at the highest level they are capable of. Training is geared towards individual talents, although a strong aerobic endurance factor is present. $160/ monthAthletes in the Senior group are directed towards making their Sectional Time Standards and above. Minimum training sets include:

National Group

Minimum criteria for entry is (1) Junior National time standard and a desire to be competitive on a National level. This group focuses on National and international level competitions. $160/month
