I have always been passionate when it comes to the sport of swimming. My father taught me to swim when I was 5 years old. Soon after I was surfing and swimming with him on a regular basis, mostly at the beach (he was and still is my "hero"). I began my swimming career in high school and it consumed me from then on. As a swimmer I was a high school finalist at the State of Florida High School Association State Swimming Meet in the 500 Freestyle, 1974 I was named team captain in both my Jr and Sr. years in High School as well as my sophomore year in college. As a college coach I was President of both the State and National NJCAA Swimming and Diving Associations 1983-1987.
