GREAT JO MEET GCST!!! GCST 14 and unders have another outstanding JO meet. The team had many time drops. Savannah Bowser broke 3 10 & under GCST records on her way to winning the JO 10 & under High Point Award. Our 10 & under girls broke the 200 Medley Relay record as well as winning the Age Group High Point Award. Kyle Snew has been selected to attend the 2009 Southern Zone Select Camp, May 21-24 at the University of Louisville.  USA Swimming has selected 224 athletes based on their performances this past summer in either an IMX score or an individual event.  Please check the Camps & Clinics section of the USA Swimming web site, www.usaswimming.org, for more details on the Zone Select Camps. 

Blake Woodrow, Molly DuBrasky, and Kyle Snew claim high point awards The GCST Winter Invitational at FGCU is now finished. SYS won the team standings with Swim Florida 2nd and GCST 3rd. The meet had 602 swimmers and was the largest event held at the aquatic center in it’s history. GCST High Point Winners: Blake Woodrow (11& 12 Boys), Molly DuBrasky (Senior Girls), and Kyle Snew (Senior Boys).  news-press.com staff • December 26, 2008 DuBrasky, a sophomore, is the first girl in Estero’s history to win a state championship in swimming. DuBrasky won the 500-yard freestyle at the Class 2A state meet, posting the fastest time of any area girl — 4 minutes, 45.36 seconds. Her time earned her automatic All-American status, meaning she is one of the 30 fastest high school swimmers in the nation in that event. read more....

11 GCST records smashed at Gator Holiday Classic Meet...Savannah Bowser won the 10 & Under Girls High Point Award with 7 wins Several oustanding swims were turned in as 11 team records fell at the Gator Holiday Classic with some of them being the oldest records still on the books.
