HEAT ALERT:
As day time temps climb to the lower 90's, so do the pool water temps.
All swimmers should bring an insulated cooler full of ice and sports drink of some type.
Hydration is critical to having a great practice.
PLASTIC THROW AWAY BOTTLES ARE PROHIBITED FROM ALL GCST PRACTICES.

PRACTICE PROCEDURES:
We are having a few issues with people not following our Practice Procedures as we submitted them to the Lee County Parks & Rec, and Lee County Attorney.  These procedure must be followed as written.  PLEASE READ THEM!
If anyone has a question about them, please call me at 239-560-4820 or e-mail me here.

LIGHTNING ISSUES:
We are getting afternoon thunder storms and lightning almost every night.
Our lightning procedures are as follows.
If we have a strike within 10 miles we are out until 30 minutes, and then the all clear is issued.
You can view the "Countdown Clock" on the GCST website by clicking the box labeled "SCP Lightning Alert".
We monitor the weather using Weather Bug App.
If the Countdown keeps resetting after the practice start time for your childs group, we will cancel the practice.
If it looks as if it will clear and we can get started before the half way point in a practice we will try to get in.
Once we get the "All Clear" we will allow the kids a short 5 minutes to come in from the parking lot to get back into the pool.
Anyone late after the 5 minute entry time, will not be allowed in.  Once the front door closes, no one will be allowed entry.
Parents must remian in the parking lot during all practices. If we have a Lightning Alert during practice, everyone MUST GO TO THEIR CAR.  They cannot remain in the facility.
