As the summer swim season comes to an end, our swimmers get to show how hard they have been working all summer by participating in the Championship meets! Every summer, GTSA participates in the Area 3 League (A3), which consists of several teams in the Tampa area. Mini-meets are held each week to help prepare our developmental swimmers for  the swim  meet atmosphere.  At these  meets, the swimmers are introduced to healthy competition, the varying swimming events, and how...

Over the past decade, GTSA has been a very successful program, but during that time one thing had eluded the program: a FLAG Champion!  That all changed this past weekend in Gainesville, FL at the 2014 Long Course Florida Age Group Championships (FLAGs).  GTSA was represented by six swimmers at the meet, where only the best 14&under swimmers in our state compete.  William Aneiros, Gabby Donahue, Regan Flynn, Jayson Reddick, Jackson Smith, and Morgan Tankersley raced over four days at The University of Florida.  When...

On Friday two different media outlets featured two of our GTSA swimmers.  The Tampa Tribune had a great article on Ally Donahue, featuring her courageous decision to head to The University of Florida a year early.  Later that evening, Fox 13 had a story featuring Morgan Tankersley’s trip to USA Swimming’s Southern Zone Select Camp!  Links to both the article and news clip are below.  Be sure to check them out!   Article on Ally Donahue: http://tbo.com/sports/preps/hard-work-plants-donahue-says-bring-it-on-20140606/ News Story on Morgan Tankersley: http://www.myfoxtampabay.com/story/25717350/tampa-teen-swimmers-selected-for-regional-training-camp
