TBAC wrapped up the 2018 FHSAA Season this past Saturday in Stuart, Florida with some Incredible performances at the 4A State Championships! Garrett McGovern wins the State Title in the 200 IM! (1:50.30)...4 guys tied with a 50 freestyle left and Garrett splits a 24.9 to capture the title! He also raced to a 6th place finish in the 500 free and helped Newsome 200&400 free relays to Top 8 finishes with some of the fastest splits in the meet! (20.6/44.9). It's been a busy 20 weeks since we kicked off our 2018 LongCourse Season way back in March with the unveiling of our New Brand and Team... TBAC!!! Christin Rockway (USA) and Celi Guzman(Puerto Rico) represented TBAY Brandon at the 2017 Junior World Championships August 23 - August 28th in Indianapolis, Indiana! Christin in her first International Competition representing Team USA finished 6th Overall in the World in the 400IM! Celi Guzman who represented Puerto Rico in her 2nd Junior World Championships,(also swam in Singapore in 2015), competed in the 50 back,100back, 200back, 50 fly, 100fly, and 100 Freestyle in addition to Puerto Rico's Mixed relays, achieving multiple Lifetime best times! Coach Lindsey King wed the very lucky Boris Loncaric in a ceremony on Thursday September 18, 2014. The couple met while swimming collegiately at Texas A&M University. Lindsey (a member of the TBAY Brandon family) is on the staff of the Lowry Park Zoo and Boris is employed with Palm Harbor Honda. Lindsey and Boris, Best wishes for a long and happy life together! We are pleased to announce the addition of an assistant coach that will be assisting Head Coach Dave Gesacion with all levels of our program. Assistant Coach - Joey Sheppard is an ASCA Level 1 certified coach who served as the head coach of TYS at the Campo YMCA 2011 – 2014. During his tenure as the head coach at TYS - Campo, he grew the team from 15 to over 150 full-time swimmers. TBAY sent 5 swimmers (Wes McGovern, Blake McGovern, Sean White, Ryan Peters, and Christin Rockway) out to the 2014 Speedo Longcourse Junior National Championships in Irvine, California July 30 - August 4th. For the first time since TBAY won the Junior National Championship Combined Team Title in 2006(also in Irvine), TBAY got on the Scoreboard in both the men's and women's meet.
