Summit Swimming Lessons
It is with great sadness that we announce the closing of the aquatics programs at Summit Chase. This change includes the seasonal pool usage, summer league team, as well as the year round programs at Summit Swimming.
We began our programs in 1980 with leisure pool usage and swim lessons in our upper pool. Then, we added both a junior olympic pool and a Gwinnett County Swim League team in 1981. In 1993, the Summit Swimming year round program was started and took over the operation of swim lesson instruction and established our USA Swimming club team. What began with a handshake between friends Humphrey Fraser and Don Britt grew into an amazing home for swim excellence. Summit Swimming produced elite swimmers for decades and leaves behind a lifetime of love for the sport in the hearts of all who swam here.
We would like to thank all of the families, lifeguards, coaches, and everyone who made swimming at Summit Chase an amazing experience. While our hearts are broken to see this huge part of our lives change, we look forward to new and exciting ways to enjoy time together in the water. We are excited to announce that our summer league team will be merging with the North Forke Barracudas. Coach Mark will be staying with us as we transition our great team over to the new location. We will have details very soon for all of those who are interested in swimming with us.
Thank you for over forty years of fun in the sun.
Sincerely,
Adrienne
