USA Swimming Registration

In the past, WRA registered athletes when they attended their first "away" (non-home) meet. USA Swimming has recently rolled out a new, online registration system and parents are now required to complete the separate USA Swimming registration for their athletes.

  • If your swimmer has not previously attended an away meet in 2022, you will need to complete an online USA Swimming registration prior to attending any future away meets. An email has been sent to all Silver, Gold, and Platinum swimmers, with a link to the registration site. An email will be sent to all Bronze and Blue swimmers prior to attending their first away meet.
  • If your swimmer has already attended away meets, they are eligible to continue attending meets through the end of 2022, but will need to be registered with USA Swimming prior to their first meet of 2023. Another email will be sent prior to the end of the year, along with step-by-step instructions for 2023 registrations, to all currently registered athletes.

A Note from the Coach: Parent Meetings

As a reminder, on chilly days swimmers should not arrive any earlier than necessary to be on-time for their practice group.

At this time, we are planning to practice without the bubble again this winter. We had many favorable responses to practicing without the bubble the last two years, and believe things should run just as smoothly again, but we will put up the bubble if the winter trends colder than previous years.  In the meantime, we will have propane heaters on the pool deck. Be sure to bring plenty of towels, a parka/robe/sweats, and any other items that will help keep your swimmers warm before entering and after exiting the pool.

We hope to schedule a couple of home meets through the winter, if we see any warm days in the forecast that don't present schedule conflicts.

At this point in the season, we are focusing on:

  • Increasing intensity
  • Technique, technique, technique
  • Developing good attendance habits and consistent training
