Team Championship Meet

2023 Southern Divisional Championship: March 24th-26th
Savannah, GA
Save the Date - This is our most important meet of the year, and all WRA swimmers are asked to attend. Help us keep the H.O.G. (Heart of Georgia) trophy! Full meet details, including team hotel information, will be posted at this link, and an email will also be sent as soon as the information is updated.
This is a great team-building experience, and so much fun. You won't want to miss it!

USA Swimming Registration

In the past, WRA registered athletes when they attended their first "away" (non-home) meet. USA Swimming has recently rolled out a new, online registration system and parents are now required to complete the separate USA Swimming registration for their athletes.
  • An email has been sent to all Silver, Gold, and Platinum swimmers, with a link to the registration site for 2023. An email will be sent to all Bronze and Blue swimmers prior to attending their first away meet of 2023.
  • This registration is a REQUIREMENT to attend "away" meets. Any swimmer who attempts to compete without having an up-to-date registration will be fined by GA Swimming and will be barred from competition.

A Note from the Coach:

We have not yet finished this Short COurse season, so there is still time to achieve goals. The New Year is also a great time to reflect on the previous year, and refine or set new goals.

At this point in the season, we are continuing to focus on:

  • Being consistent in practice attendance
  • Improving technique and building endurance through the effort put forth in practice
  • Gaining race experience and developing racing strategies through meet participation
  • Having a positive attitude at all times and learning to overcome adversity

Remember, more details on our training cycles can be found on our website under Team resources, or by clicking here.
