July 16, 2018, Good Hope, St. George.    Good Hope pool was the home to the first ever World Aquatics Day Celebrations held in Grenada on Saturday July 14, 2018.  The Grenada Amateur Swimming Association (GASA) in collaboration with the Grenada Youth Adventurers (GYA) hosted a fun meet for some Novice swimmers from around the island. December 06, 2018, St. George’s, Grenada.   Three of Grenada’s top National Swimmers Delron Felix, Dajenel Williams and Kimberely Ince left the island today to participate in the 14th FINA Worlds Swimming Championship scheduled for 11-16th December 2018 in Hangzhou China. Coach Gerson Escobar and GASA’s President Peron Johnson who will also serve as Team Manager accompanied the swimmers. Grenada National  Swim Team earned 6 medals at the Goodwill Meet in Barbados August 21, 2018, St. George’s Grenada.    Grenada’s National swim team returned to the island on Monday following 3 days to swim competition at the Goodwill Swim Meet held in Barbados from August 17-19, 2018. July 3, 2018, Oranjestad, Aruba.        Grenada’s swimmers continue to propel the sport to higher levels with spectacular performance thus far at the Central American & Caribbean Swimming Federation Swim Championship (CCCAN) in Aruba.  Taking to the pool on June 29 and wrapping up their competition today July 3rd the 16-member team, the largest team from Grenada to qualify to participate in CCCAN, departed the island on June 23rd in preparation for the competition. October 1, 2018, St. George, Grenada.    Grenada’s National swimmer Delron Felix departs for Buenos Aires, Argentina today to compete in the Youth Olympic Games to be staged from October 6 -18th.  Felix will represent swimming as part of Grenada’s four-member delegation of athletes who will be competing at the Youth Olympic Games. The Grenada Amateur Swimming Association through the support of FINA hosted a four-day training session at the Blue Horizon Hotel and Good Hope swimming pool from July 4 - 8, 2018.  The training was facilitated by FINA certified Instructor and former National Coach of Grenada’s National Swim team, Dave Farmer.  Mr. Farmer is currently a director with the National Olympic Academy with the Barbados Olympic Association.
