Originally from San Diego, she dabbled in surfing, she swam and dove in high school, competitively swam and played water polo in college and made her best swim times with U.S. Masters Swimming.  Many moons later she became a mother and passed her love for the water onto her wonderfully excitable and independent children. Naturally, her love for swim, for kids and for water safety lead her to take the plunge into becoming a USA Swimming coach as well as a certified survival swim instructor.
