“I’m so excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim at Florida State University!! Thank you to my family, friends & coaches who have helped me get to where I am. I can’t wait for the next 4 years as a Seminole!”

Kaufmann is a senior at Cypress Fairbanks High School. As a freshman she placed 8th in the 200 free and 8th in the 500 free at the 2017 Texas UIL 6A (largest schools) Swimming & Diving State Meet. The following year she won the consolation final in the 500. In club swimming, Kaufmann represents Cypress Fairbanks Swim Club. She had a strong summer season which culminated at Des Moines Futures with three top-8 finishes: 4th in the 1500 (17:22.86), 6th in the 400 free (4:23.64), and 7th in the 200 free (2:06.63). She also anchored the winning 800 free relay (2:06.05).
