FLEET's own Coach Maryanne, was named to USA Swimming's Women Coaches in Governance program. It is the inaugural year for this program and only sixty- six (66) female coaches were selected throughout the US.
The program is a 10-week fellowship which focuses on a wide range of topics and will assist the Coach Maryanne with professional development in a variety of areas.
Women Coaches in Governance was developed by women coach leaders in the sport of swimming and is designed to mentor women coaches who wish to be more involved with USA Swimming at an LSC, Zone and National level.
Coach Maryanne was nominated by the GULF Local Swim Committee due to the fact that she has over five years coaching experience and she is interested in becoming more involved within USA Swimming's various levels of governance.
