Welcome Lindsie Micko and Miyona Barden-Clark to Fleet!

Fleet Board

Dear Fleet Family,

We are excited to announce that Lindsie Micko will join Cypress-Fairbanks Swim Club as our General Manager on April 10, 2023 and Miyona Barden-Clark as our Fleet First Aquatics Director on March 13, 2023.
Lindsie will be managing all aspects of our swim club including facilities, Fleet First Swim School (led by Miyona), Fleet Masters (led by Coach Green), and the Fleet Competitive Team (led by Interim Head Coach Rick).
Lindsie comes to us with more than 30 years of swim and aquatic experience. She started her coaching career at Sioux Falls Swim Team as Head Coach, was the Senior and Head Age Group Coach at Fleet from 2008-2012, and Head Age Group Coach at FCST from 2012-2015. She is currently the Head Coach at Augustana University, a Division II college. Augustana’s women's program won its first-ever Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Championship earlier this month and Lindsie was named the NSIC Swimming Coach of the Year.

Lindsie received a bachelor's degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation with an emphasis in Fitness and Wellness and has a minor in Spanish from South Dakota State University.
Lindsie is looking forward to stepping off the deck and using her experience to better our club and help grow our programs. She started the swim program at Augustana University and is passionate about the development of the overall athlete and believes strongly that all swimmers, regardless of level, have a place on the team and are a valuable part of the program.
Miyona will be managing the Fleet First Swim School and will assist with implementing a new software program, iClassPro, that will modernize the registration and billing process. She will also be managing the Fleet First social media accounts so follow Fleet First on Facebook to keep up with the exciting updates.
Miyona started her swim school career at Aqua-Tots and Pengu as a learn to swim instructor and is currently the Chief of Staff at PowerPacked Swimming. She is passionate about teaching water safety to all ages and enjoys finding new and fun ways to encourage swimmers. She has successfully trained and mentored instructors and loves seeing them find success in their roles.
We are thrilled to have Lindsie back at Fleet and are excited for Miyona to join us and help grow Fleet First.
