DCS Spirit Day at PANDA EXPRESS, February 27th

Mark your calendar! Dine and earn for DCS on Wednesday, February 27th at the Panda Express in Douglasville from 10am to closing. Just show the Spirit Day flyer (in your email and at the pool on the bulletin board) and say you are with DCS before you place your order. Please share with family and friends!

Swim-a-thon is Coming SOON!

Look for a lane rope to splash across the top of the DCS website starting March 1st! This year, during our biggest annual fundraiser, we aim to raise $20,000 to help us with the purchase of training equipment and a touchpad timing system!  How does it work? All DCS swimmers will be assigned a goal number of laps to swim during their normal practice.  (You’ll be shocked to see just how far these kids can go)! Swimmers are asked to send family and friends to the DCS website to pledge funds to the team on their behalf to support their swim. We will tally everyone’s laps and convert them to total miles completed. Our team goal by 2020 is to swim all the way to Omaha, Nebraska, site of the Olympic Trials! That's 999 miles. Last year we collectively made it Nashvhille, TN. Swim-a-thon helps every DCS swimmer as well as kids across the USA. 5% of all funds we raise are donated to the USA Swimming Make-a-Splash Foundation, a national learn-to-swim program. Swim-a-thon 2019 dates and more info to come in a special email.

DCS Starts and Turns Clinic with Coach Jrod, February 22nd

Fine tune your starts and turns and drop precious time in every race. As we approach our final big short course meets of this season, this clinic is a great opportunity for all swimmers to dedicate 2 hours to the critical elements of the blocks and the walls.  Cost $80. Register on the DCS Website. Space is limited.

Coach Jrod has slightly increased the practice time in the water for Novice group. To accommodate this improvement, some groups may see a minimal impact/change in start-finish times for swim and/or dryland training.  Please refer to the Practice Schedule attached.

DCS Swim Camps Coming in June

New this summer: DCS  Day camps for competitive swimmers! Coach Jrod and staff will host two, week-long day camps in June (3rd - 7th and 10th -14th) that will concentrate on all four strokes, starts and turns, conditioning, dryland and special topics important to athletes. Look for detailed info and a brochure to follow soon!
