Swimmers excel at Dynamo End of Season: Now ON TO STATES

The regular Long Course season concluded with significant time drops, many personal best times and some great races at the Dynamo pool last weekend. Congratulations to everyone that participated as the event showcased the hard work of our Stingrays.

Several swimmers achieved state qualifying times and are competing this weekend at the GA Age Group Long Course Championships at Georgia Tech or will travel to the Senior State Championship at the University of Georgia at the end of the month.

A giant high five to Addison Cheatwood (age 9) who nailed her first state cut!! Addison is joined by Ian Baldassarri, Charlie Bartlett, Vito Cappiello, Logan Doyle, Naim Foster, Eduardo Lozano in achieving a combined 26 individual qualifying times for Age Group Long Course States. Matias Navarro and Owen Atwell earned a spot to represent DCS in four relay teams. Congrats to Shuaib Foster as well who qualified for Age Group States but is not competing.

Senior swimmers Maria Grishkovets, Ana Rolka, Bailey Oliver, Danielle Melilli and Nick Wilson will travel to UGA next weekend to compete at Sr States. Good luck to all and swim fast!

2019 Fall/Winter Kickoff (and the dreaded DUNK TANK) is August 17th

Last August, we established the short course season with DCS Relaunch, a fun few hours of team building on a Saturday afternoon. We will continue this event in 2019 with the DCS Fall/Winter Kickoff on Saturday, August 17th from 11am to 2pm at the BWAC. All swimmers and families are encouraged and welcome to attend! We will have food and games for everyone and will share some insight to the upcoming year. It’s a great team building event and a lot of fun. Please indicate if you plan to attend by selecting "edit committment" then "attend" or "decline" in the DCS Team Event calendar or by clicking here.

Moonlight Fun Run and Chill Cookoff in October

Safe Sport Training and Mandatory Team Meeting coming in September

As a USA Swimming member club, DCS is required to provide Safe Sport training to all of our parents and swimmers each year. Our mandatory meeting will be held in early September and will also include a “state of the team” report from Coach Jarrod and the Board of Directors. We will have lots of great information to share, much of which is a direct result of your feedback from our DCS Team Survey.  Date and more info to follow soon.
