Gina Cook, President

Gina Cook has worked in the IT industry for over 25 years.  She has most recently worked as a program manager for HPE focused on support automation.  Her son, Cooper joined Dynamo 2 years ago and swims in AG1 Gold, Alpharetta.  Gina has a BA in management from Kennesaw State University where she played basketball 4 years for the lady fighting owls.  She also holds a Masters in Teaching.  Gina co-manages the Edenwilde summer swim team which has over 160 members.  She is currently the VP of academic affairs on the Elkins Pointe PTSA.  She and her husband Mike are Georgia natives and reside in Roswell with their two children, Cooper and Chandler. 

 


Clarice Wasmuth, Vice President

Clarice Wasmuth is Nurse Practitioner who has worked for Optum over 19 years providing care to residents in nursing homes in the greater Atlanta area along with, mentoring new nurse practitioners, and helping with various management projects such as rolling out electronic medical records and coding. At present she serves as a Clinical Services Manager for Optum. She is active in her community having served on the Board of her neighborhood as president. She served her church, Christ the King Lutheran Church, on its Council for four years, two of those as president. She served as the Rules Chair on the Board of the Gwinnett County Swim League for 4 years and is the Training Coordinator for Georgia Swimming Officials. Clarice is also a liaison as a nurse practitioner for Communion, a Care Giver support group.  Clarice is married to Ed Wasmuth and they have three children (who all swim) Hannah (16), Henry (14), and Hattie (12). The family has been a Dynamo family since 2010 and they love swimming. You may have noticed Clarice at one of Dynamo’s swim meets as she volunteers often as a USA Official. Clarice has been an Official since 2011 and is currently a Meet Referee and serves Dynamo in organizing USA Officials for its many swim meets.

Patrick Hennessey, Treasurer

Patrick Hennessey is a Senior Vice President in the Government and Institutional Banking division (GIB) of Wells Fargo Bank based in Atlanta, Georgia.  He has over 20 years of experience managing comprehensive banking relationships with a wide range of tax-exempt utilities and joint action agencies, non-profit healthcare providers, local governments, institutions of higher education and other tax-exempt entities.  He currently leads the relationship management team for the bank’s municipal, joint action agency and cooperative energy clients in Texas and the Eastern U.S.   

Patrick is from New Orleans, Louisiana and holds a B.A. in Economics from Emory University and a M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance from Georgia State University.  He is an active recreational cyclist and runner.  He and his wife Wendy have four children, all of whom have participated in Dynamo programs beginning in 1999.  Their daughter Claire, 13 – AG1 Gold, swims at Chamblee.

 

Alex Whelan, Secretary

Alex started swimming at Dynamo in 2000 when she was seven and worked her way up to the Senior 1 Group with Jason Turcotte.  Years later, she continues to train with the Masters group and and as an Ironman Triathlete with Dynamo Multisport.  She is a project manager at a data privacy company and joined the board in 2016.

Curtis Brison:

Curtis Brison has been a part of the Dynamo family since 2018 when he and his family moved to Milton, GA. He and his wife Kerri have two children, son Alex and daughter Sophie who swims in the Senior 1 group at the Alpharetta location.

Curtis serves as the Vice President of Sales for Hankook Tire Corporation. He has over 14 years of experience in the tire and automotive sectors, serving in a variety of key roles at Michelin, working in both domestic and foreign markets, and leading the domestic sales team at Exide Technologies.

Curtis is a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in Political Science. Prior to moving to Georgia, Curtis and his family resided in Greenville, South Carolina for almost two decades. Curtis served on the Community Leadership Board for Greenville Forward, the Leadership Council of Meals on Wheels, the Board of Directors for the Greenville Clemson Club, and the Program Investment Committee for the Young Philanthropists for the United Way. He was a member of Leadership Greenville and appointed to the South Carolina State Workforce Investment Board by the former Governor. Curtis was also involved in the YMCA of Greenville County, serving as a youth basketball and soccer coach. He and his family are active members of St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church in Milton, GA.

Gregg Hudock

Gregg Hudock is a Professional Engineer.  He is a Principal with the global engineering firm Golder Associates Inc.  Gregg has a Bachelor and Master of Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.  He is also a graduate of the Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership (IGEL).  At Golder, Gregg is the Water Practice Leader where he builds and leads teams to address the water supply and flood control infrastructure needs for local, State, Federal, and global clients.  Gregg is the father of Emma and Ethan who both swim at Chamblee.  He is married to Salomé.  He is an Eagle Scout and when not volunteering on deck at Dynamo or Georgia Swimming meets, Gregg is active with the Boy Scouts of America.

Peter Varrone

Peter brings nearly 20 years of Business Ownership, Recruiting & Executive Board Member experience to Dynamo. He is a former Director of Recruitment for international companies and has consulted alongside C Level Executives of healthcare systems & sales industry leaders. He is currently Co-Founder, Managing Director of DrCruiter & RNcruiter, healthcare staffing firms. Peter will bring experience in developing and executing creative, procedural improvements as well as numerous, fresh ideas to take Dynamo to another level, both locally & nationally.

Peter is from Long Island, NY & attended Fredonia State University where he obtained his degree in Healthcare Admin & Resource Management, while a member of two, NCAA Final Four, Ice Hockey Teams. He has played minor league hockey, has significant coaching experience and was also the VP of the Atlanta Amateur Hockey League for 10 years. (An organization consisting of more than 160+ teams.) His wife Tracey owns an Educational Consulting business and their two girls (Bella, 14-Sr3 Gold & Gigi, 12- AG1 Gold) swim in Alpharetta.

Jennifer Entrekin:

Jennifer Entrekin is the mother of five active daughters; three are year-round swimmers at Dynamo, one is a competitive goal keeper and Dynamo Juniors swimmer, and the youngest is busy trying out a wide variety of sports and interests.  Jennifer and her husband, John, are lifelong residents of Atlanta.

Since leaving the corporate sales work force in 2005 to focus her time and talents on family and home, Jennifer has been an enthusiastic and tireless volunteer and leader at many organizations including Church Council Chair, and Worship Chair at St. James UMC; Personnel, Ways & Means, and Board Chair at St. James Preschool; PTO Co-President at Kittredge Magnet School; PTA Co-VP at Ashford Park Elementary; and Swim Team Manager at Roxboro Valley.  Jennifer enjoys serving her community and relishes the opportunity to enhance and improve the experiences of all participants, families, staff and stakeholders.

The Entrekin family has been a part of Dynamo since 2013 and looks forward to many more years encouraging and supporting Dynamo swimmers of all ages and abilities.

Kathy Stephens

Kathy and her family have been a part of Dynamo since 1988.  Her children began swimming at Dynamo when the 50m pool was built and it was an outdoor facility.  Kathy has held various Dynamo board positions throughout the years including President. She also has served on the GA Swimming Board and on committees for USA Swimming, along with being involved in summer league swimming.  She is a USA Swimming official and serves as a Meet Admin Clerk for local meets along with National Level Meets. Kathy is a RN who specializes in infectious diseases and vaccine research.  She had four college level swimmers and one is currently a coach in Chicago and an Ironman Qualifier.  Two other children are still involved in swimming

Martin Chen:

Martin Chen is an attorney with the U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights.  The agency investigates complaints of discrimination on the bases of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, and equal access to the Boy Scouts of America.  He has been there for nearly 30 years.  He has served on the corporate board of Literacy Volunteers and is currently on the board of the fitness center in his office complex.

His three children all learned to swim through Dynamo Swim School, including one son, Aidan, who will be in Senior 1.  To have something to do during swim meets, Martin became a USA Swim official in 2016.  When he is not working a swim meet, you can find him logging miles with Back on My Feet, a group that helps those experiencing homelessness through running.

Martin is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and Georgia State University College of Law.  He attended high school in Dekalb County.  He and his wife, Erin, along with their three sons – Leighton, Aidan, and Declan, live in bucolic Dunwoody.
