Faux and Munger Lead Dynamo to 2nd Place Finish at SR State Meet

Congratulations to all of our participants at the Senior State Championship meet this past weekend! Thank You to all of the parents who made the trip up to Athens. Your support was appreciated by all the swimmers, both in the stands and on deck with our outstanding show of timers.

Likely, the performance of the meet came from Geoff Faux who swam a 23.54 for a new National Championship time standard and was a mere .05 off the Olympic Trials cut of 23.49. Geoff will be giving the Trials standard another attempt at the National Championships this week. Also making a significant impact were Graham Munger who picked up 4 new Junior National qualifying times, as well as Katie Bond (winner of the 200 Back) and Laura Browning (winner of the 200 Breast). Dynamo Swim Club now has 11 junior national qualifiers, 8 of whom qualified for the first time at this meet. The Dynamo men won 3 of the 5 men relays and the Dynamo women won 2 of the 5 relays. Dynamo was second in the combined, men’s and women’s races. In addition, Lindzi Smith and Emily Kintz qualified for the Georgia Zone Team.
