Frank DeMaria – AG3 & 4

Frank comes to ESA from Davenport IA, where he was the Associate Head Coach of the Piranhas Swim Club and the Head Girls Coach for Pleasant Valley High School.  Originally form Rochester NY, Frank was named the Adirondack Swimming Male Scholar Athlete in 2009.  Swimming collegiately at Eastern Michigan University, he competed in the distance events and was part of the MAC Conference Champions team of 2012 & 2013.  He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.B.A. in Finance & Management.

Frank began his coaching career by serving six years on staff at the Wolverine Swim Camp at the University of Michigan.  Frank’s first coaching stint was with Club Wolverine in Ann Arbor MI.  While in Michigan, Frank was able to learn from such coaching greats as Gunnar Schmidt (Club Wolverine) & Jim Richardson (U of M Women).  While with Club Wolverine, he also coached with the Michigan’s All-American Swim Camps form 2013 – 2017.   And if that didn’t make him busy enough, Frank also coached two local high school teams during his time in Ann Arbor.

Under Frank’s tutelage, his athletes have qualified for both NCSA’s and Winter Juniors.  Both club and high school athletes have obtained numerous team records and several of his high school athletes have gone to qualify for their respective State Championships.  In his relatively short career, many of Frank’s athletes (high school & club) have gone on to compete collegiately at all levels (Division I, II & III).

Starting on May 6th, Frank will work closely with Coach Matt, and serve as our Head Age Group Coach; coaching both AG3 & 4.  Please help us give a warm welcome to Coach Frank DeMaria!
