December Champs Meets

Our team had a very busy Decmeber with many championship meets, best times, team records, and lots of fun. Here is a quick recap of all the Championship meets that Ambush attended. 

Gulf 2022 Senior Champs:

Gulf Senior Champs took place on Saturday, December 3rd in Katy, TX. Here we had 1 Ambush member attend, Peyton cut 2.31 seconds in her 100 yard backstroke to get a time of 1:18.88 and swam her first ever 1000 yard free with a time of 13:54.97. This 1000 yard free got her 14th place in the meet. 

2022 Gulf Age Group Champs:

Gulf Age Group Champs took place on Sunday, December 4th at the Texas A&M Pool. This meet was a qualifying meet for ages 8-14 and ended up being a very fast swim meet. Livia swam the 200 yard fly and set a new Ambush Team Record of 2:24.07. Shortly after she swam the 200 yard IM and set another team record of 2:24.76. 

2022 Gulf Fall Champs:

The Gulf Fall Champs meet took place in Cypress, TX. Ambush brought a total of 11 swimmers to the meet. Between these 11 swimmers there was a total 30 best times that contributed towards 95.16 seconds dropped! Along with these drops there were 2-1st place finishes, 4-2nd place finishes, and 5-3rd place finishes. 

Coach Phil, Hannah, and Derek are very proud of how the swimmers are working hard and improving in their swims. We hope to have many kids attend the last few meets for this short course season. These meets include our January Open meet in Lufkin on January 14th. The Last Chance meet in Shreveport on January 28th and 29th. The Touchdown! Super Bowl meet on February 11th and 12th. And finally all of our champs meets in the greater Houston Area taking place during February.
