• ​Houston Hydra group fees are set based on a projected 4-week cycle.  There are months that include more than 4 weeks of swim time in which case this works in the Member’s favor.  There are also months that include CFISD closures (testing, holidays, maintenance, etc.) that work in the Team’s favor.  In the end the days end up offsetting.  The standard group fee is charged in either case.
  • Current USA Swimming membership (does not apply to Learn to Swim & Masters):  Starting September 1st, 2022 it is the responsibility of each athlete to maintain a current membership in good standing.  Athletes will not be allowed to participate at practice or allowed to swim at meets without a current membership.
     
  • Current USA Water Polo membership.  It is the responsibility of each athlete to maintain a current membership in good standing with USAWP.  We prefer each athlete have a Gold membership.  Athletes will not be allowed to participate at practice prior to obtaining a membership.
     
  • Participation in Swim-A-Thon.  This is our only required fundraiser.  Each athlete must raise $100 or the difference will be charged to their account. (Swimmers only.  Water Polo may add a fundraiser to offset the costs of tournaments including Junior Olympics)
     
  • Each family may be required to fill a timing shift if their athlete(s) attend a swim meet. (Swimmers only)
     
  • Each family attending may be required to fill a volunteer role at water polo tournaments/games hosted by Houston Hydra.
     
  • Withdrawal:  Each athlete must fill out the appropriate form 15-30 days prior to anticipated withdrawal date.  $15 fee to temporarily suspend your account and/or reactivate your account.
