Terry Jones Head Coach, CEO

Coach Jones started the MAC program in 2003 with less than 20 swimmers and has seen the program grow in number and success over the last 18 years.  Coach Jones has served as a USAS Head Coach for 36 years with swimmers competing at every level including finalist at the Olympic Trials and former MAC swimmer who went on to college and participated in the Olympic Games.

Some of the most recent accomplishments include being listed as one of the USA Swimming National Team Coaches in 2010, 2011, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021.  Athletes coached include multiple swimmers on the 18&U World 100 Top Times List, World and Olympic Trials Finalist, 18 & Under National Champion.

In 2016 MAC swam to a Women's 3rd place finish at the Speedo Summer Junior Nationals, 2017 Winter Junior Nationals West Women's Team Runner Up, 2017 Summer Junior Nationals Women's Team Runner Up and 3rd Place Combined Team finish.  MAC achieved a National Age Group Record in the Women's 15-18 800 Free Relay in 2017, has had Multiple Junior National Champions and Finalist and numerous National Age Group Top 10 Rankings.

MAC was first recognized as a Bronze Medal Club in 2012 and a Silver Medal Club in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and was awarded the prestigious Gold Medal Club status in 2018 and 2019.  MAC has been a Silver Medal Club in 2020 an 2021.  Coach Jones has served on USA Swimming Staff for the 2016 Junior Pan Pac’s and was named the Head Coach for the National Select Camp for the Men in 2017 at the Olympic Training Center.

Coach Jones is married to his wife Leslie who works as a reading tutorial specialist for Magnolia I.S.D., has two children Whitney and Zach and two grandchildren Gavin and Micah.  Coach Jones attends the Stonebridge Church in The Woodlands and his faith in God is an important part of his life.

Theodore Cagle National Team Coach

Clayton Cagle comes to MAC with 38 years of coaching experience. A 1979 graduate of Drury University, in Springfield, Missouri, Cagle spent his early career in the Midwest coaching club and college programs. 

A leader in the Texas swimming community since 1986, Clayton began a 26-year career with the Cypress Fairbanks Swim Club.  While at Fleet, Coach Cagle helped guide 3 athletes to the Olympic Games!  Almost a dozen of Clayton’s swimmers have earned spots on National and National Junior Teams. He also led his team to team victories at Junior Nationals and Sectionals.

A 4-time winner of Gulf Swimming Coach of the Year, Cagle was the head coach of the 2006-2007 National Junior Team and has been selected as Head coach for several USAS Camps in Colorado Springs.

A fan of NASCAR, Clayton has been married for 35 years to Brenda who is a Coach and Teacher at Bleyl middle school in CFISD. He has two son’s, Kurtis, 33, works in the Woodlands, and Brad 28 who is married to Jill. He has one Grandson, Colton, that will be as cool as his grandfather.

Richard Mills Head Age Group Coach

Coach Rick has been with MAC for nearly a decade.  Mills has an extensive swimming background in the Houston area and has served as a Teacher, Head High School Coach and Head Club Coach over the years.

Coach Rick has coached kids to every level in swimming you could, including the Olympic Trials.  Rick's greatest attribute is that he is excited to help kids grow and improve as a swimmer regardless of their swimming level.  Coach Rick currently coaches Age Group Select and Age Group 1.

Rick's roots began in Indiana and he now resides in the Lake Conroe area with his wife Martha.  The couple has one son and welcomed their first grandson almost 3 years ago. His other hobbies include fishing and working on building projects.

Jessica Peterson Head Development Coach

Coach Petersen is entering her 2nd year with MAC leading the Senior 1 and Gold Team training groups.  With over a decade of coaching in the Gulf, Peterson started her career with The Woodlands Swim Team moving to the Premier Aquatic Club of Kline and Swim Streamline at Northampton in route to Magnolia.

A TAGS Finalist and Sectional Qualifier Coach Peterson is also the Head Coach of her high school alma mater, St. Pius X, where she was a State Finalist her Junior and Senior year.

When not coaching Peterson is an Independent Insurance Agent who enjoys spending time with her 3 English bulldogs, gardening, decorating, painting and baking.

Joseph Raulerson Age Group 1 & Senior 1 Coach

Coach Kit Raulerson joined Magnolia Aquatic Club in late summer 2019.  He primarily works with the AG 1-2-3 and Senior 1 groups.

Coach Kit previously worked with The Woodlands Swim Team, Raleigh Swimming Association, and Longhorn Aquatics. He has also coached collegiately with Michigan, Georgia Tech, Bucknell and Florida State.

As a Lead Coach, coach Kit has produced: NCAA scorers, US National Junior Team members, US Olympic Trial semi-finalists, European Senior and Junior Finalists.

Jared Kaminski Age Group 2 Coach

In McAllen, Coach Kaminski led his team to a 14th place finish at the 2017 Texas 6A High School State Championship.  In addition to the team’s success, Coach Jared coached an athlete, who had no club team to train within McAllen, to multiple ‘A’ finals at the 2016 Winter Junior’s, the runner-up spot twice at the 2017 Texas 6A High School State Championship, and a 2017 Junior National title.

Coach Jared comes to MAC from the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas, where he taught high school physics and was the Head Swimming & Diving Coach at McAllen High School. Relocating in 2017, Kaminski now holds the same positions at Magnolia High School.

Coach Jared, who grew up in the local area and competed for The Woodlands High School, is married with three children. His wife also teaches at Magnolia High School, and one of his children swims for MAC.

Katie Callan-Wehrle Assistant Admin & Senior Coach

Coach Katie comes to MAC from Crimson Aquatics in Boston where she was Head Site Coach, working with athletes of all levels of ability. During that time, Katie also led elite Paralympic athletes from Team USA at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado.

With 18 years of coaching experience in summer league, high school and club, Katie lead teams in Michigan, Oklahoma, and Massachusetts.  With 2 bachelor's degrees, Callen-Wehrle taught for 10 years at Mercy High School, a prestigious college prep school for young women, in Michigan.

April Westbrook Director of Lessons

Coach Westbrook joins MAC from Colorado where she managed the private swim lesson instructors for the City of Englewood and South Suburban Parks and Recreation Department. Coach April is a specialist in aquatic safety with certifications from the American Red Cross and Jeff Ellis & Associates.  

Currently, April is our Director of Aquatics Programming where she oversees the MAC swim lessons, lifeguards, and front desk operations.  Coach Westbrook recently started our newest group, the Copper Team.  This group specializes in teaching developmental athletes the basic skills of being on a swim team.

Looking forward, Coach Westbrook is developing new daytime programming, Water Fitness of Adults as well as Daycare Swim Lessons. In her free time, Coach April is a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker!
