Welcome to the Rice Aquatics Electronic Registration platform for our Fall 2020 ( September 1st - December 31st.) swim season! We are pleased to offer electronic payment processing and registration. The process is simple for both new and returning members. You'll get access to your own private account that will enable you easily maintain your own contact information, and more.

We look forward to having you join the Rice Aquatics and are excited for another great season!

Fall Session 2020

The Summer session runs September 1st  - December 31st .   Please click attend this event and follow the online instructions. All existing swimmers will need to log in and re-register even if your CC is curently on file. All new swimmers must complete this process prior to joining the team.

Summer Notes:

Thanks for to all of you for adjusting and following the rules that are in place.  Your cooperation is much appreciated by our staff and by SHAC. Please follow registration instructions below as they pertain to you.  You can pay at the time of registration on our website or choose to pay by check, cash or credit card on site when you attend your next practice.

Annual Membership Holders: While we are displaced from RICE University we are going to suspend our Annual Membership options until the new year. 

Single Session Registrants: Choose Community, $400 or Full Time Student, Lunch Bunch only or Weekend Warrior only, $300.  If you choose to pay in person, please bring a copy of receipt of registration with payment.

At this time, we will continue to swim at SHAC. Please refer to Coach Seth's comunication around RICE University and a return to the facility.  Please continue to swim 10 seconds apart and maintain social distance at or near the walls while resting. When we have information regarding the opening of Rice University Recreation Center we will let you all know. 

In the meantime, here is our Fall schedule:

Monday/Wednesday/Friday AM : 5:50 -7:00am@ ShAC

Tuesday/Thursday/Friday Lunch Bunch 12:00 -1:00pm @ ShAC

Saturday/Sunday: 12:00 -1:00pm @ ShAC


Registration Check List :

  • ___ Fill out Registration Information Online
  • ___ Register online with USMS
  • ___ Register Online and pay by CC/ACH (or coach on last try out date if paying by check)
  • ___ Print Success/Confirmation Receipt and Go to RUPD and get photo ID (Once Back at RICE)
  • ___ (Optional) Go to RICE Parking and purchase parking pass (cash or check only) (Once Back at RICE)
  • ___ Begin Swimming

New Swimmer Tryouts:

We offer tryout dates specific to your request.  We will send you a ?Tryout Pass? via email that gains you entrance to the recreation facility.  For times and information please email     Seth Huston.

Initial Registration

Please fill out the online registration forms completely and legibly. If paying by check please have the registration receipt and check with you at your first masters practice.

At the end of the online registration process you will be able to input payment options. Once completed your will see a confirmation page that states "pending approval". Print this ?Confirmation Receipt? or save to phone and use as a ?Temporary Pass? to display for access the first several of days of practice at the recreation Center Reception Desk. At your convenience, please bring the printed confirmation receipt of registration or saved confirmation receipt on your phone and bring to the RICE University Police Department (RUPD) and get a RICE Masters ID Photo (read below) at this time. You will now be able to have access to the recreation Center during our practice times for the remainder of the session. 

We will pro rate mid session additions, but only on a monthly basis; full rate during the 1st month, 80% during month two, 60% during month three and 40% during month four.

Returning Masters Swimmers:

In advance of the upcoming session RICE Aquatics will send out an email for re-registering. Swimmers must chose to "attend this event" through the registration event page if you plan to swim the next session. Once the new session has begun, non renewals will have their ID's deactivated upon completion of the current swim session. If you renew after the registration period (May 10th) there will be a $25 reactivation fee. Once the re-registration period has ended you must email     Coach Seth    and Coach Jason directly with your intent to swim. If you ID is deactivated for failure to complete the registration it may take up to 72 hours to get it active once registration is completed. Please print your completed payment page from the website to gain access to the rec center until your ID is reactivated. 

We encourage all members to pay through our website through the registration process. If you prefer to pay by check or cash your payment must be received before or during the first week of the new session. If you miss the deadline your ID will be deactivated and you will have to pay a $25 reactivation fee.

A couple notes on payment options
  • Paying by Check
    • You still have to register online through the website and choose pay by check as your payment option. 
    • Dropping off a check at the pool prior to or in place of registering online will not allow you to gain access to our practices.
    • Please make it out to RICE Aquatics Masters. If you give a coach a check please follow up with an email to so we can ensure your check is registered quickly in our system.
  • Paying by ACH or CC
    • Log in and enter your CC info with each registration to ensure you are billed properly.
    • CC should be an instant payment and ACH can take up to 3 -5 business days to clear your bank.
  • Paying by CC
    • Log in and enter your CC info with each registration to ensure you are billed properly.
    • Email Seth ( and Jason ( with your intent to pay by CC in person.

We offer a fall, spring and summer session.  Each session is approximately four months in duration.  New members can join in the middle of a session and fees will be prorated.

USMS Club Registration: All Masters Swimmers must be USMS Registered

You can register for the club by going throuh our online sign up. Click attend this event.  All of our master swimmers need to be USMS registered in order to meet liability standards and you can link to a USMS online registration page on our registration link.  USMS registration is $35 for the calendar year. Swimmers will not be able to gain access to practice if they are not a current USMS member.
