Summer Session 2021 - Return to RICE

The Summer session runs  May 3rd   - August 31st. All existing swimmers will need to log in and re-register even if your CC is curently on file. All new swimmers must complete this process prior to joining the team. As you have heard the masters swimming program will return to Rice University officially Monday, May 3 for our summer session.
You must be registered through our SUMMER MASTERS REGISTRATION link in order to be on our updated roster and have RICE ID reactivated. For this summer session only, we are continuing our “Pandemic” Community rate of $400 in order to welcome you back home.

Summer Notes: COVID and RICE University

Here are important points to know regarding RICE Recreation Center guidelines:
1. You must be registered online and on the summer roster by the Friday at 8:00 am prior to the following week, in this case April 30; in order to swim by May 3. We will update our roster each week in case you are late to register.
2. When you arrive to the recreation center, please stand in the reservations line with other recreation center users. Identify yourself as a masters swimmer and the recreation attendant will check the roster for your name. You will then enter the recreation center swipe your ID or show your drivers license (temporary) to go through turnstiles.
3. Please wear face mask on the Rice campus till you are ready to swim.
4. There are currently no locker room or towel service available, so wear your swim suit and bring a towel.
5. When you finish practice the recreation center needs to have all patrons out to clean before the next reservation time; so please exit the recreation center quickly. Please exit the facility no later than 5 minutes after your practice has concluded.
6. We are limited to 4 swimmers per lane. If and when we reach that limit, the recreation center will close entry. We will initially start with 10 lanes for practices. So do not be late.
7. If you desire a parking pass; Rice Parking, located in the McNair Building garage, located across the street from the pool has Community Early Bird/Late Bird passes. Purchase this one week after your registering for the Summer Session.
8. Our success in following Rice University guidelines will enhance opportunities for other outside groups to return to campus; please cooperate and be courteous with staff.
