SWAT 2021 - 2022 Registration Information Summary

Financial Obligations

1.  Annual Registration Fees

  1. SWAT Team Registration Fee of $95 for each new and returning swimmer:  The team registration is capped at $270 per family.  The non-refundable team registration fee is due at registration.​
  2. ​​2021-2022 USA membership, $81 for each new and returning swimmer (non-refundable). Southwestern Aquatics Team - SWAT is affiliated with the Gulf Local Swimming Committee (“LSC”), of USA Swimming (“USAS”). Each swimmer must be registered and join the Gulf LSC under SWAT before the swimmer can be participated in practice or compete.  USAS registration runs from September 1, 2021 through December 31, 2022. A portion of the fee is used to provide coverage for members under a USAS policy of insurance. The USAS registration fee will be collected from new & returning swimmers at registration.

2.  Monthly Dues

  1. The first month tuition will be auto drafted on September 1, 2021 and is non-refundable.  Subsequent monthly dues are invoiced on the 1st of each month.  Payment is required whether the swimmers attend practice or not due to weather, illness, vacation or holiday. 
  2. Credit card or ACH is the preferred method of payment.  Payment with ACH method will be made automatically on the 1st day of each month.  A $30 charge back fee will be assessed if there is an insufficient fund or non payment when credit card is processed for payment.  Failure to remedy Nonpayment / Insufficient funds will result in suspension or termination by the team.
  3. Monthly Group Tuition:   (Range from $100 ~ $155)

Swim Meet Fees

If swimmers chooses to attend a meet, there is a fee to compete depending on the host. It usually cost between $2.00 ~ $15:00 This fee is separate of all other fees and is paid to the host of the event and NOT SWAT Meet fees will collected by SWAT.

SWAT's meet expense fees:  $2.00 per event (ex: ABC swim club's individual event $6.00 + SWAT coach's expense  meet fees $2.00 = $8.00 per event).

Out of Town Travel Meet charge ($15.00). If you have a swimmer participating in an out of town meet that would require coaches to reserve hotel rooms, an additional $10.00 travel charge will be billed per swimmer. This charge helps offset the travel and accommodations costs of the coaches.  Meet Fees are charged to the swimmers account once final entries has approved & posted on SWAT website. There will be no refunds for meets that are rained out or cancelled for any reason. (ex: $6.00 + $2.00 = $8.00 X 6 events = $48.00 + $15.00 = $63.00)


1.   ALL SWAT families are required to volunteer at a SWAT hosted meet (SWAT will be hosting two meets per swim year from Sept 1, 2021 ~ August 31, 2022.)  CLICK HERE FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION

2.  Timing:  All competitive families are required & expected to volunteer during meets as assigned by the host teams.  The volunteering sign up will be posted the week of the meet typically on Monday or Tuesday of the meet week.  A $50 fine will be applied to ALL FAMILIES NOT signed up to time if any timing slots remain open at the time of the meet. In addition, anyone who does not show for their timing slot must arrange for a replacement. Failure to do so will result in a $50 fine. Swimmers of these families will not be entered in future meets until the fine has been paid. If all timing slots are filled, remaining families will not be fined. Families with a parent participating in the meet in another capacity (coach, official, timing coordinator, etc.) are exempt from this policy for that meet.

Uniform Requirement

1.  Practice - Swimmers are required to wear team caps and are strongly discouraged from wearing other swim team suits.    

2.  Meet - Swimmers are required to wear SWAT SPEEDO swimsuit or SPEEDO Tech Suits,  SWAT team caps and T-shirts.  Team caps may be purchased through the team.

3.  SWAT Team Suits can be purchased online through our sponsor SwimOulet and Swim shop of the Southwest website links.

Membership Termination

A swimmer may terminate his/her membership by completing and submitting SWAT minimum thirty (30) days Termination Notice Form.  The form must be submitted to SWAT at least 30 days prior to the end of the month via e-mail to: [email protected] the partial month must be paid in full.  For example, if a swimmer submits termination of his/her membership on Dec 5th, he/she is responsible for the month of December and January payment. There is no exception to this rule.
