On Friday, February 14, 2020, Tomball High School freshman swimmer, Ava Place, attended the UIL 5A State Championship Swim Meet in Austin, Texas. Ava represented her school in the 50 Yard Freestyle event. In order to attend the state championship meet a swimmer must qualify as top two at their regional meet or be one of the next 8 fastest swimmers in the state to be called-up to attend. What a great swim meet!!! TASC had 22 swimmers compete at Short Course Champs II this past weekend. It was an exciting time with all of our swimmers putting up some new personal best times. Eight TASC swimmers placed in the top 8 in one or more individual events, earning TASC a sixth place finish in overall point standings. This past weekend TASC had 26 swimmers, ranging from in ages from 8 to 18, represent our team at the PACK hosted Gulf Open Meet at Klein High School. The team did a fantastic job with all of our swimmers dropping time in some or all of their events. Ten of the TASC swimmers who swam found themselves scoring in the top 8 in one or more events. Beginning Saturday, October 18th TASC will once again be holding Saturday practices. Saturday practice is offered to swimmers in groups Jr. Red and above. Practices will start at 9:30AM. Saturday practice is STRONGLY encouraged for all eligible swimmers. Please note there will be no practice on Saturday, NOVEMBER 1 The pool will be in use for a TISD swim meet that day.

Registration for the 2014-2015 competitive season is now open. All TASC members, current, former and new, must complete a new registration each season. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Byron Keller, TASC Red Group swimmer, has been chosen to compete in Mexico with the Gulf All Star Team at the North American Challenge Cup on August 7th - 10th. Byron was one of six 11-12 boys chosen from the pool of applicants. In order to be able to apply for selection to the team, a swimmer had to have at least one "AAA" time. Byron Keller will be be traveling to Miromar Lakes, Florida this weekend as part of the GULF LSC All Star Team to compete in the 2014 Open Water Festival. Coach Doug was also selected as one of the coaches for the Gulf to travel with the team to Florida. Byron was the top qualifier for the 11-12 boys and will be competing in two events this weekend. Monday, February 24, 2014 Austin, TX (UT Natatorium) Trevor Strong, who swims for the National Group of TASC, represented Tomball High School at the Texas UIL 4A State Swimming Championships this past weekend. Trevor gained top honors in the Men’s 100 Yard Breast with a winning time of 57.29 and finished sixth in 50 Yard Free with a time of 21.60 which was slightly above his prelim qualifying time of 21.50.
