Scott McCracken Head Coach

 

Head Coach 
Primary Location: Tomball Aquatic Center
 
Scott is the founder of Tomball Area Swim Club, oversees all phases of the TASC swim program and is the on deck coach for the Senior, Red and Blue Groups. Scott is ASCA Level 3 Certified.  Scott coached several summer league seasons with the Heatherwood Hurricanes, the most recent being the summer of 2012.  During the 2011/2012 season he was the Master’s Program coach and lesson instructor at Lifetime Fitness.  The previous season he was an age group coach and swim instructor for Alief Aquatic Club.  Scott’s coaching philosophy is very basic, “work hard, but be efficient”.
 
Scott is a Tomball native and started his swimming career at the age of 5 with the Heatherwood Hurricanes.  Scott had a natural ability in the sprints and continued swimming through high school and college.  He swam all 4 years for Tomball High and still holds two records.  He went to TCU on a swimming scholarship and graduated with a degree in Finance.  He still holds the TCU school record in the 50 free.   In 2008, he achieved a world ranking of 35th in the 50 Meter Free and competed in the US Olympic Trials.
 
The following youtube video is of Scott swimming the 50 Meter Freestyle in Nationals in 2007.  He is in lane 1.  He made a new record on this date of 19:99 seconds.  He later broke his 19:99 second record.
 
 
Tracy Acosta Head Age Group Coach

Primary Location: Tomball Memorial Aquatic Center

Coach Tracy is the head age group coach for Tomball Area Swim Club, and the  2021 season marks her ninth year with the club.  Coach Tracy has worked in competitive swimming for over 13 years and has served many athletes and parents during that time.  In the past Coach Tracy has served on the board of the Northpointe Shockwaves Swim Team and is currently the head coach of both the Tomball Summer League Team and the Willow Wood Junior High Swim Team, where she has led the Wildcats to two consecutive district championships.  Coach Tracy also serves as the lead administrative official for both the Tomball Memorial Wildcats and the Tomball High School Cougars swim teams.  She is a Red Cross certified lifeguard and holds a Level 3 certification with the American Swim Coaches Association.

Daniel Sautural Head Diving Coach

Tomball Area Swim Club is excited to welcome Coach Sautural as our Head Dive Coach begining January 2021. Coach Sautural has over 29 years of diving experience with 21 of those years as a Texas Age Group and Junior Olympic Diving Coach.  He has coached numerous Texas State 4A & 5A Qualifiers and Champions with many going on to compete at the collegiate level.  Coach Sautural was voted Texas State Girls Diving Coach of the Year from 2007 - 2012 and Boys Diving Coach of the Year from 2007-2009 and 2011.  You can find Coach Sautural's full list of diving accomplishments HERE.

Kimberly Riedel Age Group Coach

Primary Location: Tomball Aquatic Center

Coach Kimberly works with our entry level competitive group and has worked with children for many years. She taught in the classroom and served as Girls Assistant Coach at Willow Wood Junior High prior to becoming a stay at home mom, but her love for teaching and coaching has never gone away. She has been involved in Tomball swimming since 2017 as a volunteer for TCATS and TASC and most recently served as Head Coach of the TCATS summer league swim team. Her love for swim started when she swam summer league herself as a child. As a teen she was a lifeguard at a local water park and more recently, went on to teach children swim lessons as an employee of FINS. When she is not at the pool she enjoys camping, waterparks and is the Director for Vacation Bible School at St Anne Catholic Church in Tomball. She also runs a moms group as well as a homeschool group.

Ashley Acosta Age Group Coach

Coach Ashley works with our entry level competitive group and helps to monitor the progression of our swimmers in our learn-to-swim lessons program.  Ashley has a natural gift for working with young beginning swimmers and works hard to see them succeed in the sport.  Ashley is a Red Cross certified Water Safety Instructor and has been coaching for 6 years.  She has worked for Tomball ISD, Tomball Summer League and The City of Tomball teaching young athletes how to swim and compete.  Ashley began competing at the age of 7 for the Imperial Oaks Seals and was one of the first swimmers to join Tomball Area Swim Club in 2012.  She swam all four years of high school for the varsity team at Tomball Memorial, where she served as team captain her senior year, helping lead the team to the State Championship Meet.  Ashley is currently student teaching 3rd grade for Spring Branch ISD.

Nicholas Rex Age Group Coach

Primary Location: Tomball Aquatic Center

Coach Nick got into swimming later than most, starting summer league with the Greenwood Forest Breakers in 2011 at the age of 12.  He developed Stevens Johnson Syndrome at an earlier age and hoped swimming would help him continue to get better. Nick quickly realized he could be quite good at swimming and decided to take it to the next level and swim year around joining TeamFins in late 2012. Nick improved rapidly while at Fins swimming under Trent Trabona and Texas Swimming Hall of Fame Coach John Vogel until his junior year of high school. Nick also saw success in high school.  Swimming for the Homeschool Christian Youth Association he achieved 2nd Team All State in his individual 50 Free and helped his team achieve 1st Team All State in the 200 Free Relay. Nick swam for Premier Aquatics during his junior and senior years of high school before moving to TASC in the spring of 2017 where he still actively trains and competes at the sectionals level. Nick began coaching for TASC in 2018 and in addition to being a USA Swim Coach he also holds a certification in Strength and Conditioning from the International Sports Sciences Association.

Coach Callie is currently attending Tomball Memorial High School where she is captain of the girl's varsity swim team.  Callie has been competitively swimming for over nine years.  She started swimming for Northpointe Shockwaves and progressed to USA Swimming by joining TASC at age 10.  Callie is a RedCross certified lifeguard.  Callie love kids and enjoys teaching and encouraging them to be the best swimmer they can be.

Coach Maddie is currently a senior at Tomball High School where she is captain of the girl's varsity swim team.  Maddie spent this past summer working as a Red Cross certified lifeguard for the city of Tomball.  She enjoys giving her time to Camp Angel, a camp retreat for special needs children and their families.  Coach Maddie loves working with young children and encouraging them to learn new things.  TASC is pleased to have her aboard for the 2019-2020 season.

Coach Kirsten is currently a junior at Tomball High School.  She began her swimming career at age 3 and has always loved being in the water.  As one of the oldest siblings in a very large family, Kirsten is very adapt at working with young children.  Her favorite thing to do is to swim, and she loves sharing her joy and teaching kids to enjoy the sport as much as she does.

Coach Morgan attends Tomball Memorial High School where she is a three year member of both the girls' swim and water polo teams,  Morgan has been swimming competitively for over ten years,  Morgan began her swimming career with the Northpointe Shockwaves and moved into USA swimming at age 8.  Besides swim, Morgan spends her time as an active member of her church's worship team.  Coach Morgan's goal is to teach young swimmers the techniques of competitive swimming while also having fun.

Coach Kyleigh started swimming competitively at the age of 4. Kyleigh swam with Tomball Area Swim Club for eight years before joining the coaching staff as a swim instructor.  Kyleigh currently attends Tomball Memorial High School where she is a member of both the water polo and swim teams. Her two older siblings were also competitive swimmers, so growing up around swimming has created a deep passion and love for the sport. Kyleigh wants to use her love and knowledge of swimming to help teach new swimmers to not be scared of the water but to trust in their ability to conquer it.

Coach Grant is currently a Junior at Tomball High School.  He started swimming competitively at age 8 for Champions Park Stars where he swam for several years. Grant quickly found success earning awards for High Point Leader of his age group, Most Inspirational, and Overall Boys High Point Leader for the entire team.  After moving to Tomball, he swam for TCATS for 2 years.  He has swam for Tomball High School for 3 years making Varsity as a Sophomore.   He also tried water polo in high school and quickly developed a love for it as well.  He is currently the Captain of the Boys Varsity swim team and Boy’s Water Polo team.  Grant enjoys working with kids and looks forward to teaching them how to swim and develop a love for the sport.

Bree Sautural is third year varsity diver at Tomball Memorial High School where she is a two time UIL State qualier & school record holder in both 6 & 11 dives. Bree started competitive diving at the age of 6. She has completed USA Diving & AAU National level. Bree has placed 7 times in the top 10 at Nationals. In 2016, Bree was ranked 7th in the nation for girls 12 & under on 3 meter. Bree’s knowledge and experience in diving is second to none. This has created a super asset to the diving coaching staff here at TASC. Bree is committed to developing a fun, positive, & exciting diving atmosphere.

Coach Blane is currently enrolled and swims at Tomball Memorial High School. Blane got into swimming at a young age at Lakewood Lightning summer league and joined Tomball Area Swim Club four years ago. Blane currently swims competitively for TASC and Tomball Memorial High School. Blane has previous experience teaching children how to swim at Lakewood Lightning
