The Bill Smith Invitational was a great success this weekend with records broken and personal best times gained. We would like to thank all the volunteers for your help during this meet.  You helped make this meet possible. 


Congratulations to everyone that competed as there were amazing swims throughout the weekend. Two individuals broke KSC team records.  Flex Faildo put his name on two records in the boys 11-12 100 breaststroke and the boys 11-12 200 fly with a time of 1:07.7 and 2:12.94 respectively. Aaron Zhao captured the 11-12 200 breaststroke team record with a time of 2:26.95. Congratulations to these two swimmers.  We see great things in your future.


Many KSC swimmers also earned the high point award for their age groups.  The high point earner in the 11-12 girls division is no other than KSC’s own Kailei Lapp Harvey. The high point earner in the boys 11-12 division was Flexx Faildo. The girls 13-14 high point earner was captured by Sage Miller. In the boys 13-14 division we had Nathanial Wilson capture the high point award.  Joey Misailidis captured the girls 15-16 age division high point award. Lastly in the Open girls division we had Grace Monahan take home the high point award.


We had many personal best times during this meet that really showed the hard work that the swimmers have been putting in and out of the pool. In the girls 10 and under divisionLilian Terry smashed her previous personal best in the 100 breaststroke by 21.41 seconds, clocking in at a 1:31.11. On the boys 10 and under corner, Kai Ofori had a major drop in the 50 free, dropping his time by 6 seconds and clocking in with a final time of 33.02 seconds.


In the girls 11-12 divisionSkye Miller showed us she can throw down a 50 backstroke, lowering her time by 6.51 seconds, clocking in at a time of 30.79. In the boys 11-12 division, Noah Britos raced to a new personal best time in the 200 freestyle with a finals time of 2:41:07, dropping his recent time by over a minute- 1:03.10 to be exact.


The 13-14 division we had two great showing from both Elisabeth Misailidis and Deion Chung. Elisabeth had a great showing in the 200 fly with a new best time of 2:28.04, lowering her previous time by almost 34 seconds. Deion Chung had a great swim in the 200 freestyle with a finals time of 1:58.97, and shaving off 27 seconds of his time previous time.


The 15-16 age division we saw some pretty fast swims from Reina Lilekis and Conrad CaoReina Lilekis swam a spectacular swim in the 200 fly, lowering her time to 2:18.01, dropping 16 seconds. Conrad had a major drop in his 200 butterfly with a finals time of 2:24.76, taking a whopping 29 seconds off his previous time.


Lastly the open division had Grace Monahan post some fast times in the 50 freestyle (24.49) and 200 fly (2:00.15). In the boys open division Blaise Swartwood had a major drop in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:47.87 - 9 seconds from his previous personal best time.
