Kamehameha Swim Club

VMAC ABC meet was Hawaii’s first meet of the swimming season with incredible races for returners and newcomers alike. The kids had a blast getting their feet wet and their competitive spirts churning. There were a lot of exceptional races at the ABC meet but a few stuck out the most within the different age divisions that participated.

In the 10 and Under division we had Thames Wilcox crush his two previous times in the 50 back (48.19) and 50 breast (48.88) by 11 and 4 seconds respectively. Londyn Nishimura had crazy time drops in the 50 free (43.90) and 50 breast (55.04) with a 13.5 and 18.2 second time drop in that order.

In the 12&Under division, Averie Hong and Noah Minikov had all personal best times in all their events. Averie Hong had an blowout swim in the 50 breast (44.29), dropping 27 seconds while Noa Minikov busted out his backstroke arms to come clear under the 40 second mark in the 50 back (39.93), dropping 24 seconds.

In the 13-14 age group division Noah Britos and Aya Minikov really showed us they can race with huge time drops in all their events that they swam. Noah gained new personal best times in the 50 free (27.63), 100 free (1:03.55) and 100 breast (1:23.78). Aya gained new personal best times in the 50 free (35.50), 100 free (1:18.50) and the 100 breast (1:42.67).

Lastly in the 15-18 age group division, Beckett Dompe had a fast 100 freestyle (56.73), subtracting 2 seconds off his previous time.

Congratulations to all the swimmers that swam during the ABC meet and thank you for all the volunteers that took their time to make the meet possible. GO KSC and keep on swimming!!!
