We had lots of fast swims at the 2022 Hawaii Senior Short Course Championships this past weekend. Great job to all those that participated!  We had great competition including teams from California and Arizona and Kamehameha Swim Club came out on top with 1519 points. Thank you to all the families that volunteered during the meet as these meets would not be possible without you help.


Congratulations to Sage Miller for qualifying for her first Winter Junior Nationals. Sage qualified for the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:01.48


Congratulations to Amar’e San Diego for capturing 2 new KSC team records in the 100/200 breaststroke with times of 1:03.95 and 2:20.76 respectively.  He was the previous record holder in those events as well. 


Lastly, Congratulations to Sage Miller, Journei Webster, Kai Falanagan and Gigi Hioki for securing two Hawaiian Open records in the 200/400 free relay with times of 1:35.14 and 3:26.76. Their 400 freestyle relay is also qualified for the Winter Junior Nationals.


Here are a number of other huge swimmers from our team: 


Kaileilani Lapp Harvey had a great meet with most of her races being personal best times. Kailei’s 100 butterfly stood out the most with a 2.5 second drop and getting under the 1-minute mark for the first time with a 59.42.


Emma Lee had a fast weekend with all her time’s being personal bests. Emma had her fastest time yet in the 200 breaststroke, dropping 10.64 seconds with a time of 2:31.75

Melia Lee had a terrific weekend with a lot of time dropped from her events. Melia stunned us in her 100 backstroke where she dropped 2.76 seconds and clocked in at a time of 1:01:01.

Skye Miller dropped over 7 seconds in the 200 backstroke with a new best of 2:16.02.

Naomi Nakaya had a monster drop in the 50 free going 25.38.

Nicholas Xu swam a great meet last week with all his events being personal bests. Nicholas had a great swim in the 200 Medley where he dropped almost seconds, clocking in at a time of 2:06.90.

Nicholas Davidson came to race last week. His best event came in the 200 breaststroke, dropping 8.30 seconds with a new personal best time of 2:18.24

Brahman Davis swam fast last week with most of his times being his fastest yet. Brahman had his biggest swim in the 200 breaststroke dropping 10.87 seconds with a time of 2:24.67.
