KSC at March 11 Senior and Distance Meets
Aloha KSC Parents and Swimmers,
KSC competed in both the Senior and Distance meets at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Center last weekend. We had great swims all around at both events. We would like to congratulate Shota Eskin (100 breaststroke), Kodai Eskin (100 breaststroke), Flexx Faildo (800 freestyle), Brahman Davis (200 breaststroke), and Makoa Cox (50 freestyle) for qualifying for this year’s upcoming Senior Sectional Meet in Austin, Texas. Great swimming boys! Listed below are the top performers for last week's Senior and Distance Meet.
Senior Meet:
In the 11-12 boys age division Koanui Keaulana dropped 3.43 seconds in his 200 backstroke, securing a new best time of 2:40.11. In the 11-12 girls division Ren Cox swam her fastest 200 backstroke yet with a time of 2:50.68, dropping 3.33 seconds.
In the 13-14 boys age division Brahman Davis demolished his 200 breaststroke time with a new best of 2:36.76, dropping 23.69 seconds. In the 13-14 girls’ division Logan Davidson glided her way to a new personal best time in her 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:23.58, dropping 10.64 seconds.
In the 15-18 girls’ division Grace Biddle dropped 2.86 seconds in the 100 backstroke with a new lifetime best time of 1:21.41. In the 15-18 boys’ division Wyatt Williamson had a great swim in the 100 freestyle with a time of 1:01.43, dropping 6.25 seconds.
Distance Meet:
In the 10 and under boys’ division Jack Nguyen swam his fastest 400 IM with a time of 6:35.50, dropping a whopping 40.46 seconds.
In the 11-12 girls’ division Lily Motz gained a new personal best time in the 400 freestyle with a time of 5:39.41, dropping 35.50 seconds. In the 11-12 boys’ division Luke Garlin had a terrific swim in the 400 freestyle with a time of 5:40.10, dropping 40.50 seconds.
In the boys 13-14 age group division Flexx Faildo had a fast swim in the 800 freestyle with a time of 9:17.57, dropping 30.11 seconds. In the 13-14 girls’ division Corey Farah swam her best time in her 800 freestyle, dropping 6 seconds and clocking in at a time of 10:23.46.
Lastly in the 15-18 girls’ division Jada Lee had a huge swim in the 800 freestyle with a 13.81 second drop clocking in with a new personal best time of 10:43.35. In the 15-18 boys’ division Wyatt Williamson crushed his previous 400 freestyle time by 25.16 seconds with a new best time of 4:58.23.
