Swim Meets
All age-group competitive swimmers are encouraged to participate in swim meets. Please discuss with the coaches if you have any questions regarding whether or not your swimmer is ready to swim in a swim meet.
Intra-club Meet (Novice Meets and Green & White)
- Meets created by the team to allow swimmers to compete within the team
- The purpose is to give new and novice swimmers exposure to competition and increase team spirit
BC Meet
- Entry is limited to athletes who have not achieved the Hawaiian Swimming “A” time standard for their age group in a specific event and to swimmers with “No Time” for the event
- Recommended for new swimmers and swimmers who would like to improve certain times
ABC Meet
- Entry is limited to swimmers who have previously achieved a Hawaiian Swimming “A, B, or C” time standard in the events they wish to enter or swimmers with “No Time” for the event
- Recommended for new swimmers and swimmers who would like to improve certain times
A+ Meet
- Entry is limited to swimmers to have previously achieved at least an “A” time standard in the events they wish to enter
Distance Meet
- Events offered are limited to long distance events such as the 400 IM, 500, 1000, mile Free
- Swimmers are allowed to swim any event in which they have an AA time; if they have not yet swum one of the offered events, they must have a corresponding AA time in the 200 version of that event to enter
- Swimmer must be at least 11 years old
Invitational
- Entry is limited to swimmers who have achieved at least an “AA” or faster time standard in at least on event in their age group
- This meet type is usually over a 2 day time span
Age Group State Championships
- Entry is limited to swimmers who have achieved at least an “AAA” or faster time standard in at least one event in their age group
- This meet is held over a 3 ½ day time span
Senior Meet
- Entry is limited to swimmers who have achieved at least a “Senior B” time
- Swimmer must be at least 12 years old
