Swim Kauai Aquatics (SKA) was founded in 2006 to teach swimming skills and proficiency for children on Kauai. The club encourages physical fitness and competition through USA Swimming organized events. SKA teaches swim technique, strokes, discipline through conditioning and goal setting, fun and teamwork. We emphasize friendship and competition. We support the YMCA learn to swim programs, Kauai Water Polo, KIF Swimming, Kauai Lifeguard Association and ocean swimming events to promote all aspects of water sport. All of our coaches, as members of the American Swimming Coaches Association, have access to the most comprehensive training and certification program for youth coaches of any sport in the United States. They provide assurances that the time children spend in swimming will be quality time. At each level of the Swim Kauai program, swimmers are instructed to strive for excellence. Excellence in this sense represents the achievement of that level at which you will know that you have done your utmost to become the best you are capable of becoming. This philosophy is consistent throughout the program, and every Swim Kauai swimmer, novice to elite, is encouraged to Be the Best You Can Be. We are a non profit club, is run by its elected Board of Directors which meets second Tuesday of each month. All members are welcome at each meeting and encouraged to be involved in team activities and fundraiser. Contact a BOD member for more information. Members of Swim Kauai Aquatics must also be members of the YMCA of Kauai.

Our Mission
SKA’s mission is to provide quality swimming instruction and coaching in a safe, healthy and positive environment through all ability levels.  Through quality swimming instruction at all levels, SKA will teach beginning swimmers a love of swimming, provide advanced swimmers training and opportunities to compete at their highest potential, and be a source of training for adult swimmers to maintain their love of swimming and physical fitness.

Our Vision
SKA’s vision is to create and sustain a culture of excellence both within the team and out in the community.  When swimmers enter the SKA ‘ohana, it is with the desire to strive for excellence.  Our vision is that when swimmers and their families move on to different areas of their lives, they will enhance their community with the skills and values developed during their time with SKA.
