Turner currently holds the Iowa Swimming record in the 500-yard freestyle for boys age 11-12 with a time of 4:53.14. Mason won all of his events except for one earning the high point award for the men 11-12 age group.

Mason Turner is currently ranked in the top 20 in eight events including 2nd in the 1000-yard freestyle, 2nd in the 1650-yard freestyle and 3rd in the 500-yard freestyle for boys age 12.

Megan Oesting, head coach and owner of Eastern Iowa Swimming Federation had this to say about the boys “I was really thrilled with the way these boys took ownership in their race preparations this weekend.  Their mental and emotional maturity continues to grow and heighten their performances in the water.  They are becoming the complete athletic package and well beyond their years in the ability to draw the best out of themselves on demand. I'm really impressed with who they are becoming and what they are creating for themselves.  These two are being noticed across the country by athletes and coaches so all eyes are on them, but as the pressure to perform increases, so does their ability to handle it.  I respect their process and am excited for the future.”

Parker is the son of Jeff and Tara Macho of Cedar Rapids. Mason is the son of Brian and Shelly Turner, also of Cedar Rapids.
