Bunn goes 4 for 4 at High School State Meet

Feb 11, 2019

This past weekend the Bettendorf Boys High School Swim team led by Coach Mike Ahrens headed to state. What they came home with was a third place finish. BHS swimmer and L4A member Charlie Bunn went 4 for 4. Charlie placed first in the 50 yard freestyle with a personal best time of 20.42. He also brought home a first place finish in the 100 freestyle with a time of 44.94 seconds. He added two more first place finishes by anchoring the 200 and 400 Freestyle relay teams. Bunn became just the seventh Iowa Boys swimmer to bring home four titles in the same state meet.

We would also like to congratulate the following L4A swimmers that competed at the state meet: Andrew Ottavianelli who swam the 200 and 400 Free relay with Bunn, placed 5th in the 50 Freestyle, and 6th in the 100 Free. Carter Anderson 200 Medley Relay, Noah Mitvalsky 200 Medley Relay

Congratulations again to Coach Ahrens, the BHS Boys Swim Team, and Managers on a 3rd place finish at State!
