CAST had 34 swimmers compete in the Moses Lake Sprint Shootout, a pentathlon style competition where the 8 fastest cumulative times from the 5 events for each age group dueled in a single elimination 25 yard sprint to see who was the fastest! Our swimmers had a lot of fun and ripped through the sprint events, with a ton of impressive swims that saw a CAST swimmer win their heat more often than not. First up is kudos to our first-time competitors-Allison Radka and Annalise Hunt! Both of these young...

CAST had a terrific start to the 2022 Long Course season-in terms of performance, it was the single best first meet of long course in at least the last thirteen years! Not only did our kids perform well, but CAST was easily the loudest and most supportive team for our swimmers in the water. Despite the limitations of the pool and the cold weather on Saturday and part of Sunday, our Crocs had super attitudes from the jump! We had an astonishing 9 team records fall over the course of...

Our short course season concluded last week with the highest level meet for our kids, Speedo Senior Sectionals. Normally held in Federal Way, WA, this year our kids got the opportunity to travel to Phoenix, Arizona and swim outdoors! Our athletes swam 3 to 6 races over the course of the 4 day competition. Leading the charge was Riley Taylor, who capped off a terrific season with a best time and 10th fastest performance in team history in the 200 fly, and a best time and top performer mark in...

Great job to the 44 swimmers who attended the Shamrock Shakeup in Spokane this past weekend! This was the last short course meet of the season for all these swimmers, and we had a fun, fast weekend celebrating how far our athletes have come over the past 7 months. Our shoutouts have to start with the 3 team records that fell on Friday night. This is one of the rare meets where our younger swimmers have the chance to compete in the distance races, and they made the most of...

Congratulations to the 46 swimmers who travelled to Moscow for the 2022 Inland Empire Junior Olympics! This is our team’s championship meet for the short course season, and we had a wonderful showing with plenty of great swims. Especially noteworthy were our finals performances-our kids swam hard after a long, grueling weekend at the pool and almost always swam faster when it counted! CAST finished third overall in the team scoring, missing second place by just a handful of points. CAST had two high point winners for the weekend. Trace...

Congratulations to the 13 swimmers who competed at the Washington Open in Federal Way last weekend! It had been a long 2 years since we had been able to compete at this premiere facility, and last weekend saw over 600 swimmers in attendance at the meet. The “Open” format means all ages compete against one another in each event-so several races had over 150 swimmers competing for just 24 finals slots! Riley Taylor headlines our highlights, notching best times in the 200 back, 50 free, 100 fly, 100 breast, 100...

Thank you to the swimmers who participated in the inaugural Vandal Invite in Moscow last weekend! This meet was formatted after the spring sectional championship meets and was aimed at giving Junior and Senior level swimmers a taste of that style and level of competition. The women’s side of the competition had excellent depth with swimmers from the U of I women's team there, while the top end of the men’s side was extremely fast for a meet at this time with several swims at IES record breaking speeds. Our...

We encourage parents to download and use the free onDeck app from the app or google play stores. You can view your account information, check your swimmer's attendance, review meets results, find best times, and compare them to national time standards. You can also see all upcoming swim meets your swimmer in entered into. Once at the meet, parents can assign heat and lane for each race, time races and then compare to all time standards. There's even a Splits Math calculator to determine splits for swimming races of a...
